Just got an email that Sony are shutting down the servers to SingStar, you won't be able to re download any purchased songs after the date 31.01.20.
If there in your hard drive you can use them offline but if they get deleted there's no way to get them back of your playing on PS2 PS3 consoles but PS4 you can re download them according to the email.

This happening most likely cos of the licences for the music expiring and not enough people playing the game. Sony aren't the only company to do this however. Didn't actually know Singstar was still a thing, not something I've ever played or been interested in though.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
And true to form, Sony have starting closing services before the advertised date. The SingStar Community section has been deleted, with all user content gone... a week ahead of schedule.
