This is really Awesome!!!!!

Tomorrow the Demo comes out with a NEW built from the ground up Move Implementation!

I can't wait to see how it works now.

Including they have "Club Free Roam Mode" in True View like Wii has!! I will review it!!

I am looking forward to it.  A lot of potential here.

Sounds good. Let me know your thoughts guys!

Yea can't wait for this too.  Let's hope they do a better job at implementing the Move than the developers of Top Spin did.  Somehow I think these guys are going to get it right though if the previous Wii versions are anything to go by

Ok having played my first go, i'm finding the menu a real pain in the tailfeathers to navigate with the Move controller.  It's so much more sensitive than the XMB menu, which i can navigate perfectly.

XMB:  Holding T sets the central position to where you are pointing the Move at the time you hold T, then you move left right up or down to navigate the menu in those directions

Tiger: The central position is ALWAYS pointing directly at the PS Eye, so if you hold T while the Move is pointing slightly lower, you will start moving down in the menu immediately after pressing T.  It does not set the central position to where you are aiming when you press T as with the XMB menu.  Very poor choice, as this makes it very awkward imo.

The Graphics are Great!!!
Augusta Looks awesome!!!

The Menu System is bad.. Trying to use Both controllers and double pulling and double tapping is kinda annoying.
Prostroke was much easier to use. I don't know why it can't be more straight forward and everything contained on the Move.
I love Putting on it!

The Short Game (Chipping Pitching and Short Shots) went from UNDER Sensitive to OVER Sensitive!! lol  You barely swing the Move and you Blast the Chip Shot!! lol

They have Perfect True 1-1 Putting Speed and then for probably the most "Feel" and "Sensitive" part of the game it's out the window lol
How are people supposed to have finite control over it?? Just Make it 1-1 like putting!!! lol

The full game looks really interesting and I will most def get it!!!

Please don't laugh! I tried to download the new Tiger Woods 12 last night but I couldn't find it. Anybody know where about on the PS Network I have to go to download the demo? It's not in the usual places like "move games" or "new demos" folders etc. I am in the USA by the way!

it was the first game under Move demo's when I looked this morning.  It is also under "T" in the PS3 demo area.

Make sure you weren't looking in the full game download area.

I was hoping to play this last night, but I spent the evening upgrading my PS3 hard drive from 80gb to 500gb   Took a while, but it went very smoothly.

I can't even believe I would be saying this!!!
They have made the controls so bad it's almost unreal!!!!!!

I wanted to give a good review of an actual thorough test-

This took me almost an hour to test (having to keep restarting the games to play again)
BTW I have tested and can work the game through and through now. (I understand everything)
I am also a Real Life Pretty Good Golfer. I was playing on Tournament Mode.

Chipping- Full Mega Fast Swing with Lob Wedge Goes Skulling across the ground???????
Ever Hear of a thing called LOFT!!!!!! Lob wedge is like 60 Degrees!!!
The ball should go flying across the green!!!

Pitching- Full Swing with Sand Wedge goes 18 yards??????? People Pitch up to 60 yards!!!!!

Lob Shots- They go high and go no where!! 15 yards???

So you automatically say to yourself, might as well use the regular swing (non Short game setting) to hit the ball.

And you then take a nice little Pitch Swing with the Lob-Wedge and BAM it goes 75 Yards!!!!

So we go from I can't hit the ball to SUPER SUPER SUPER oversensitive barely hit the ball long shots!!!

WHO IN THE WORLD MADE THESE MOVE CONTROLS!!!!!

They need to go outside and Hit a Golf Ball and See what it Does!!!!! lol

I was hoping to play this last night, but I spent the evening upgrading my PS3 hard drive from 80gb to 500gb   Took a while, but it went very smoothly.

Already done that myself too- made the mistake of buying a 160gb PS3 and wishing i'd spent extra on more capacity.  So i spent £50 on a 640GB drive from Amazon, watched how to do it on YouTube, and it went swimmingly but I digress.

I really don't like this game.  The view looking down on the ball looks terrible when you can see your practise swings moving your club all over the place above and below the ball- its a miracle you actually hit it.  It loses calibration- will play one shot fine but then my next shot won't tell when i am moving my controller back and forth to get my swing.  Then the menu's are SO over-sensitive and erratic to navigate using the Move controller, virtually forcing the player to use the DS instead, when we shouldn't have to if the Move is so good with the XMB menu and other games (such as High Velocity Bowling).  I won't be bothering with this one.  Together with Top Spin, thats 2 disappointments in the past week

Yep, pretty disappointing.  I will still play it with the DS, but not with the move sadly.  Another missed opportunity.  The future is bleak.

BTW I REALLY hope they UPDATE it before the release!!!

The Graphics are sooo good that if the Move Controls were at all proportional it would be amazing to play!!

Everyone please go on their forum and speak your mind!!! We need updates and Patches!!!!

Sadly still at the moment thou if you want to experience proportional good Move Golf, their is only John Daly's Prostroke. Sure hope they update.

its always good when a demo convinces prospective buyers not to buy the game.

Well I wouldn't say "good"- if things were good, then the game would play well and i would happily pay for a copy of the full game.  However, I am glad they decided to release a demo as it saved me wasting £40 on what is essentially a load of tripe (as is Top Spin 4 with Move).  I hope the developers read all the negativity on their EA forums and change some of the poor design choices before release.  But I doubt they will.

Looks like we're still stuck with John Daly's ProStroke Golf for the best Move incorporation (now £14.91 brand new at Amazon!!!)

Well it just seems that the developers don't take the move seriously, so they probably won't care if there is an outcry.  TW is still a very good golf game to use with the Dual Shock, which is probably what 90% of the people buying the game will be using.  Sure it sucks for us who love the Move, but there isn't much we can do.

That said, I do think that EA could easily fix this in a patch and it would be very good. If they improved the menu navigation and make a few tweaks to the gameplay part, it might be worth while.

TGov

dmmp1234

They only (lol) sold around 500,000 of TW 11. There are what like 4.5 MILLION Move Owners now. Including move is the hottest thing on PS3, not TW. So they should be taking it serious!

If John Daly's Prostroke 2 Revamps their graphics and Full Features (including Course Designer) it will be the front runner for Move Owners through and through. That is if TW keeps doing this kind of stuff.

dmmp1234

TGov

huh, I really thought TW would have sold a lot more than that.  Well, then forget what I said

TGov

dmmp1234

TW 11 for PS3 Sold somewhere in that range according to online figures.

As more and more people buy Move, it will play a larger and larger role in how to control PS3 games. Stuff like Golf Games and FPS games are almost an exact fit for the Move!

"Supposedly" they worked on the controls for 3 more weeks after the Demo release. If in 3 weeks they could entirely change the Move controls then it should be good. We'll see....

FWIW, this guy put together a guide for the move controls.  It does make it a bit easier to figure our how to do stuff.

http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/5404538.page

WOW!!

And the Move is supposed to make games more accessible and instinctive!  Yet here we are having to learn to point here and press this to draw, then point here and press this to alter loft, then point here and press this to look at where you are aiming, then point here and press this to take your shot etc etc. FFS

Seriously, just step back and take a look at that list and you'll see what I mean.

Then look at this one: "*) to aim left/right/longer/shorter whilst viewing the hole from the t-box - until now i couldn't find a way to do this with the move.  from what i learned one can use the 4 arrow.buttons on the left.hand side of the ps3.dualshock.controller or the nav.controller.stick. if someone found a solution to achieve this with the move, pls feel free to add it here. "

Haven't EA learnt ANYTHING from the last version???

yanno, if they really did 1:1 and made some kind of peripheral like the chicken stick you could do all of that which they are talking about by just swinging the club the right way.
