I had Ghost of Tsushima installed on my ps4, it got locked yesterday, so I had to re buy it again, now I have two Ghost of Tsushima installed on my ps4, when I opened the new one, it didn't have my old save, is there any way to have my save from the old game on the new one?

@Sergio2393 Did you sign in with a different PSN account, perchance? Because it sure sounds like your console thinks you're somebody else, from beginning to end.

@RogerRoger The game was purchased by somebody else but downloaded and always played from my profile, I ended up having two Ghost of Tsushimas installed, one with a lock and my old save and one without the lock but does not contain my saves. I don't have access to the person's account who purchased the game in the first place if you wonder.

@Sergio2393 It might not work but, if you're on PS Plus, try uploading your old saves to the cloud and then downloading them again alongside the unlocked copy of the game. You'll find what you need if you highlight each game and press your controller's Options button.

Like I said, it's a random idea, and won't work if Ghost of Tsushima ties its saves to a PSN profile, because there's obviously something blocking you somewhere.

Your only other option is to contact Sony Support, to get an unlock and a refund.

So the lock was probably due to the other account disabling your PS4 as their "primary console" but I would think purchasing it on your account (assuming it's the one you played on) would just unlock it.
Sorry, I don't have any advice, just thought it was super weird for the PS4 to allow you to install a game twice.

@RogerRoger that's exactly what I tried, I was able to upload them to the cloud and then download them again, but it seems the new game didn't take those saves. Thanks for helping me out.

@Voltan well unfortunately it didn't work after purchasing it again, it just downloaded again and didn't take my old saves but started from scratch.

It's because you didn't own the game that's why you can't access the save file is tied to the purchased copy license.

@Tasuki Yes, I agree on what you said, it might be the reason, even though I can still see the save files, I can't use them on the most recent installed game.
