I still don't want a PC as my gaming machine, seems like PS5 will soon be the only option for those who prefer the classic console format, because Switch is a handheld. I'd really like for Sony to stick to what they know best - making great games.

procedural generation is enough for things like faces, apartments and houses. AI is probably more useful for dialogue and interactions but it has to get better than it is now for companies to rely on it completely

If games are on PCs they should be on Xbox too. "Console exclusive" is weird, why not put your game everywhere? The other thing that makes sense is completely exclusive game to your platform. But not in between.

the placement for season finale made no sense. after the flashback episode they wrapped everything up so quickly, should've had 1-2 more episodes to raise the stakes

I actually liked the pacing. It's better this way for a TV show.

Has there been a first party game announcement that got every fan excited on the level of Last Of Us 2, God Of War or Uncharted from from previous gen? 🤔 Ghost Of Yotei is the one for me, but I've seen that some didn't like it

I think AC games can still be very good, if they focus on right things. Also not all newer games are worse than the old ones, I personally think that Origins is among the best games in the series and it has newer mechanics and a really huge open world.

I'm guilty of downloading GTA5 last year and replaying story mode.. It's that good, and I don't even play online

Jedi Survivor is one of my favorite games recently, it's incredible. Haven't had a chance to play Outlaws yet so I won't be judging it, but Jedi Survivor set the bar really high for Star Wars games.

There are definitely people who love this game. I wasn't a fan but it's one of my dad's favorite games of all time and he's been gaming since the early 1990s. The sales are good as well. So it naturally means there will be people watching the movie too.

Not afraid to say that I like the 'Far Cry' formula, simply because there aren't a whole lot of open world fps games. I didn't care for some of the rpg mechanics in the latest games though. Anyway, Far Cry Primal sounds more interesting than this time-based approach mentioned in the article.

I really wish Xbox was more competitive and had some great exclusive titles. By the way the industry is going PS6/7 having no exclusive games is very believable.

@Johnion what about TLOU 2 is activism or lecture? The continuation of the story seemed logical to me. The messages about revenge in the plot are nothing new too, it's been explored in movies, and books for years. In fact I'd say they sacrificed sales in order to make a really unique story (for a video game), it was a bold move. As well as letting you play as Abby in the second part of the game. I can totally see why people hated that, but it wouldn't be right calling it anything but a choice made for the love of the art.

I don't see how setting up a gaming PC is easier or cheaper compared to 10-20 years ago. It still requires time, knowledge and money. It's fairy stable but things can go wrong, there can be problems with Windows optimization with different hardware and the list goes on. The number of people who want a separate, ready to go box is still the same too.

I remember people saying that there will be at least 2 year wait before exclusives hit other platforms. Now it's roughly one year. So that makes Astro Bot port for PC in 2025 very realistic. Getting PC, paying less for games & no paid online play is just a better long term solution. I wish it wasn't just Windows when it comes to PC, but Apple doesn't care about gaming that much so after all Microsoft is the true industry leader as they have both Windows and Xbox.

Can't wait to see how this game looks on PS6

It's interesting how Ghost Of Tsushima 2 doesn't seem to look that better than the first game. It still looks great though.

some ports? almost all ps4/ps5 'exclusives' are on pc now. the current waiting time is about 2 years. this strategy will surely continue as exclusive games don't bring enough profit, so Sony needs the PC market

I think people are mistaken if they think games like Star Wars Outlaws will sell less than Astrobot, eventually. That's why companies are saying that exclusives are dead. There aren't that many customers..

If Sony announced a bunch of first party single player PS5 games for 2025-26 and the Pro model included a disk drive and a stand, I think people wouldn't be as mad with this reveal as they are now.

Price wouldn't seem that outrageous if it came fully featured, with disk drive and stand.

So I guess consoles becoming more and more likes PC is inevitable. Considering more games being multiplatform and companies like Sony or Microsoft saying that exclusives are dying. Then this pricing actually makes sense. Sony didn't even have to announce any new games to sell it, and there are almost no first party exclusive games for 2025-26 that we know of right now. It's still a bit more affordable than PC though.

I gotta say it's an interesting thought by TheGamer. After a lack of new proper and exclusives games this gen, something like Astrobot that celebrates all of Playstation games seems a bit strange. With those long development cycles, shift towards live service, death of console exclusivity this abundance of new and unique franchises in a thing of the past.

I'm used to different platformers, but here there is no story, no voice acting. so it feels a bit indie, but idk maybe it's a good thing

So this game does not have a story in the way crash bandicoot, jak and daxter or sackboy have?

I get it, it's a Ubisoft game with bugs at launch so the scores are understandable. However why am I seeing this culture war discourse online once again, about her character looking bad or manly? What the hell is happening, the main character looks perfectly fine.

It's almost 2025 and there is nothing ahead other than Wolverine when it comes to single player games.. By this point in PS4 generation, games like Ghost of Tsushima, Last of Us 2, new God of War, Days Gone were already announced.

I remember the days when the games were the selling point of a console. If I wanted to play Last of Us, I just had to get PS3 or later. Now people can just wait (not a long time anymore) and play those on PC, that is if there's anything to wait for.. Of course people still buy consoles, but there is less need for it than ever.

Crash 4 is either the best entry in the series or 2nd best. I loved that game.

If people are playing Playstation games on PC it's just as good for Sony, the same goes for XBOX. By the end of this generation, day 1 exclusives on both PC and PS5 will become the norm, while hardware sales will slowly decrease.

There are maybe a few real PS5 exclusives that are not on PS4 or PC. Console prices are also not dropping mid generation like they used to for lots of reasons. PS5 is still way better overall experience than Xbox now but consoles are not what they used to be.

GTA V is that good. Truly amazing game, and so far the best in series. But its longevity (especially GTA Online) is a bit too much 😅

Aside from difficulty, the reason I'm not into the soulslike games is dark and gloomy aesthetic and lack of proper storylines

The bar is low when a game can even be considered 'exclusive' when it's day one on PC lol. I know console exclusive is what they call it, but cmon now. But many many people enjoy these games, you really can't please everyone.

Love the remakes just like the originals back in the ps1 days. But Crash 4 might be my favorite in the series.

GTA 5 still looks so nice, the world is just so beautiful.

Sony would rather release all PS5 games after 1-2 years and not have any real exclusives this gen than release Bloodbourne which will be a good thing for preservation.

Just this gen Sony dropped some amazing platformers like Sackboy, Ratched and Clank and now Astro Bot. And how many sad dad sims there was, like one (not counting the remakes)? I'd welcome even more diversity, some western rpgs and single player shooters.

what's crazy is that PS5 sells so well, Sony has to just keep doing what its doing currently and it'll still be on top
