@philly215a Lots of people value backwards compatibility and not everyone has the space for all the consoles they want to play. Plus, you can have enhanced graphics and framerates on old games.
I'm still holding on to the hope of PS3 compat. It would be nice to put away both the PS4 and PS3. Though existence of the Digital Edition puts a bummer on my hopes. Having said that, backwards compat on the physical media version would easily justify a $100 difference.

There's no one size fits all. Some games have kept he hooked for hundreds of hours, whilst others grow stale in about ten.

Honestly, meh.
Then again I wasn't hyped, so you could say it lived up to my expectations.
PS5 is a sit and wait for me at this point.
The box itself I don't know, maybe I'll grow on me. Right now it looks like a "will age poorly" design.
