Great until the end. As soon as the 'monster' showed up the tension evaporated like 99.9% of all horror. My own rules for horror are 1. Don't show me what I'm running from. In most cases the mind fears what it can't see more than what is shown. 2. When you absolutely have to show your audience the horror, don't make it some obvious generic monster deformed bodybuilder.
Aside from that the game looks like having potential. I kept thinking about that the playstation camera would be cool for this type of game. Imagine creeping into a room, its dark, you fumble around to replace the battery in the camcorder. When the light comes back on you're looking through the lense and straight into your lounge. Theres you sitting there in your room, holding your dualshock 4, while an AR shadow stands behind waiting to pounce. Defibs on stanby people.
Is kojima pulling a fast one on this? Most on the net are saying if this is big boss, then yhe game has an eighties setting. To me though, the boss looks abot the same as mgs4. And last time i checked they didnt half holographic wrist displays in the eighties did they?
@KALofKRYPTON zero lag. At least on private network that is. Ive today tried ico and imo that looks great on vita. Dont expect many game to work like this though. I hear the lack of memory in the ps3 prevents 99% of titles working. As i understand it the rp function is memory intensive, so games that already use alot are a non starter.
@KALofKRYPTON Pretty good. You're right about the ps3 looking bad over RP but the actual games look great, I'm really impressed. I assume Sony have tinkered with image quality because I remember Yoshida say that remote play need optimisations, not just a matter of enabling the function. Small patches though, around 4mb.
I've only tried gow2 so far, but it works amazingly well i find. No lag using private network connection( soz not tried internet connect yet). The game doesn't quite fill the oled screen but this can be improved in the games settingd. Rear touch functions adequately as L2 & R2. no issues there at all.
So pleased to finally have this function. im in a situagion where the main tv is often hijacked by the wife and kids so remote play is a godsend.
I was so taken with the demo that I've been out and bought the first game. Great stuff. Oh and, before i forget, this is my first post here, so hi everyone. Really nice site. Gaming pages out there are a scary place - nice to find somewhere friendly and all about the Playstation love.
