Re: Shift Up Director Puts Stellar Blade, Sony Costume Conspiracy to Bed

@Ryne-Gaia Rather than labelling a whole group of people “absolute freaks” you might want to take a moment to consider the underlying situation and issues in question here. There are important topics (censorship, the impact of a global release on game content from Korea, Sony’s content moderation policies) that deserve proper debate. If you don’t agree with what other people are saying that’s fine but maybe try and engage without being offensive?

The second paragraph in this article is a direct translation of what Kim Hyeong-tae said. But he doesn’t actually say the words in the third paragraph.

  • “Thirsty gamers”.
  • “Stylish finishing touches”.
  • “Taking the ensemble to the next level”.

This is all embellishment by the article’s author and it comes across as if the author has an agenda to communicate.

Maybe PushSquare should be questioning what the developer is saying and actually investigating what’s going on? How is game content being moderated in an increasingly global environment? What impact are Sony’s content moderation policies having? How did this impact the final release of Stellar Blade?

Re: Reaction: PS5's Success Is Not Luck, Because Sony's Spent Years Putting in the Hard Yards

I agree with everyone saying the success is built on the solid foundations of the PS4. Seamless backwards compatibility is a big deal, particularly as digital purchases for PS4 are easily playable on PS5. Upgrading to PS5 becomes a straightforward decision when you can play your PS4 games catalogue as well as the new shiny PS5 games.

I hope Nintendo follows the same approach with Switch 2 . To be honest I think it’s essential they do for the Switch 2’s success as seamless backwards compatibility is almost expected now after the PS5.
