@Luna-Harmony Yeah, Harry Potter is so damaged because of her comments that when they opened the new massive multi floored Harry Potter store in NY last year it was packed with people. Same with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando. In fact now every Universal Studios park has a Wizarding World including the new one in Beijing. Having the Wizarding World parks is one of the factors contributing to Universal Studios beating out Disney in Florida, even though the mob called for a boycott because JK gets a cut of every ticket sold. The reality is most people agree with her, like the most of the adult actors from the movies that have spoken about this, or dont care.
The non Twitter Harry Potter fans are doing just fine. This game is going to be a hit and she will make even more money from it. Sounds like a happy ending.
@Jriibz Is a bikini on a woman obscene? If so isn't that sexiest? That's not my point at all though. NetherRealm said, “You’re not going to be showing so much skin. I think it’s just what the game is about: you’re going in to fight for your life, and you’re not going to be wearing such scantily clad items." My point is if they are "in to fight for your life" then why do men have shirtless and pantless options? It's going against what they said is their new position! Really, I don't care. I just think it's beyond silly to use that as an excuse. Cover up and armor up everyone or else its hypocritical. Also in history there was real warriors who fought nude. There wasn't many but it happened. Just saying!
@Jriibz A lot of women, like my girlfriend, will tell you that a man's chest is sexual! Walk by the romance novels in a store and tell me what you see... oceans of bare chested man meat. Oiled up and glistening. Why are they like that? Because sex sells. Fabio wasn't popular for his intellect. When you talk about swimwear, what about nude or topless beaches? Haven't women fought to let the puppies out in protests at places like Venice beach? I'm not even calling for that... even though Mileena's Flesh Pit costume is pretty close! I would just want it to be equal. If they are saying "You wouldn't go into a fight wearing what the female characters in the past wore." The same goes for the men. We can not allow a protective gear gap! Safety first! Full 100% coverage is the only way to be safe.

Plus for protection they all should be decked out in full armor fitting their character of course. Like riot gear or metal plate. Full helmets and shields are a must. Those people are dangerous! You know what they always say in Mortal Kombat, "Safety First!" This game is gonna be great, no one can get hurt because everyone has on their proper protective clothing. NetherRealm is so innovative! We don't want someone to get scraped knees! Wait? You can still rip off heads and slice up people's bodies? But you can't do that to the ladies, right? They have the proper PPEs! Huh, I guess logic like protective clothing doesn't matter... almost like... its... a game... But if that's true... then anyone could wear whatever because it doesn't matter, and we all know THAT would be silly. Better stick with full armor and ditch the fatalities! Better yet, they can sit and discuss their problems like adults. Mortal Diskourse!
@Jriibz Men aren't just pecs and six packs either. Sure there is good old Bo' Rai Cho but the rest of Mortal Kombat's males are oiled up dudes. So many bare chests and some like Baraka, my favorite MK character, have no pants options, ie loin cloths. Really they could be on the front of a romance novel.... "The Single Mom and the Tarkatan" sounds kinda catchy. So why is that ok but female characters have to look like they are going on a space walk? I'm not saying that junk has to be hanging out, just cant we have some femininity to go with all of the man meat? Or cover them all up and be constant! And for goodness sakes, women can be strong and be feminine. Charity Witt is a good example of that.

I was think about MMA fighters as well. It doesn't make sense using their logic.
But yeah at least the fatalities look cool. Just some of the character designs are a let down. I do like the classic looks they showed better than the new ones. Classic Kung Lao is probably my favorite.

We need full body armor for every character. Riot gear, helmets, plate armor, and shields! For goodness sake they are fighting for their lives! They need that protection. There are people who shoot fire balls, rip faces off, and have spinning razor hats! Fighting Scorpion? Bring out the bomb disposal suits! Why doesn't Johnny Cage have his helmet on or even a shirt! At least get the man some pasties because his nips are out there for the world to see! Safety first because this is Mortal Kombat, dang it!
