@atthegates you expected the games to run just like they run on base console? Isn't the freaking point that better hardware should provide a better experience? Please, you really are waving that first to the sky...
@Rich33 "The hate this game gets sometimes feels almost like its politically motivated, but I have no idea where that comes from."
Of course it is. 100%. The Last of Us Part 2, Silent Hill 2... You see people going on incredible tangents and mental gymnastics to criticise games when they don't want to explicitly say what they really are or don't know how to articulate their insecurities and sexual frustrations. So we know where it comes from, actually: straight from the incel echo chamber and the followers who are not equipped enough to form an opinion for themselves.
@DennisReynolds you're definitely from a different timeline to say the game was broken at launch. "How broken" in your words. I played day 1 and got the platinum in that very week. I didn't encounter a single bug. Not even a slight glitch 🤷
@Acejas that's not how this works. Updates and patches (in firmwares at least) almost always replace previous code. The size remains the same or only slightly larger.
@OldGamer999 @Dodoo the Switch is a console with the guts of a 2015 phone that Nintendo still sells for more than an Xbox series S and almost the price of a PS5 Slim. Fair, the Pro is very expensive, but it's rather cute to think that you'll be getting your money's worth with Nintendo tech-wise. The Switch 2 will have ballpark PS4 performance and it will cost even more than the current Switch. A PS5 Pro made by Nintendo would cost upwards 1000 to keep up with their insane profit margin per unity. Again, the Pro is expensive, but you're paying for what you're getting and less than a discreet GPU.
It's one of the most cowardly designed games in recent memory that's doesn't take an ounce of risk. You bet on average (and watered down) mechanics and don't want average scores. Mkay.
@KillerBoy completely different genre. It's like comparing Uncharted to Skyrim. The only parallel is being able to hop from one planet to another, which means nothing.
To me, this game's driving model trumps Horizon 5 hard - as long as you switch off all assists, that is. I think most people are judging the game by the default settings, which make the driving boring. Switch everything off and the cars come alive in corners in a way that makes Forza Horizon tamed and dull in comparison. Really impressed by the trial, will buy it for sure.
@ear_wig Ita him, right? I mean, I'm pretty sure it's not a coincidence. Glad someone else noticed, I searched everywhere, no one has made a mention about it.
I love me a good Metroidvania, really do, play them all, but by this point, the whole indie scene has become one giant tribute to the genre. I'm really reaching the fatigue point. I look at this and feel nothing.

Re: Sony Issues DMCA Takedown Against Bloodborne 60FPS Mod, Four Years After Release
@Mintie there's no "emulated version". There's the dump and an emulator. Emulators aren't ilegal.
Re: Fans Work Out Why Monster Hunter Wilds Feels So Weird and Weightless in PS5 Beta
Like Devil May Cry V, which feels like you're always slashing through paper. Awful.

Re: Spider-Man 2 Won't Receive Any PS5 Story DLC
@DennisReynolds just went through the patch notes. Yep, you're certified from a different timeline.

Re: Mini Review: Shadow of the Ninja Reborn (PS5) - Lovingly Restored Classic Shinobi Action
@jrt87 there are 3, actually: Wild Guns Reloaded, The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors and Pocky & Rocky Reshrined. And now this.
Re: Next Final Fantasy 16 Patch Makes Side Quests Quicker, Adds Ability Loadouts, and More
@HonestHick you are partially correct: not all games are CPU bound. Those limited by the GPU (the majority, really) will get an easy bump.

@KundaliniRising333 "extremely underwhelming"
Lol gotta love the usual Internet hyperbole.
