@Stickleman not really, look at the PS3 to PS4. PS4 was a lot cheaper despite many people predicting it would need to be the same price or more expensive, the high price point of the PS3 almost killed it at launch.

@justemu but it only disappointed in sales because Sony released zero new games for it. Sony have announced almost no new games for ps5 as well, in comparison to PS4/ PS4 pro which had loads of games incoming at the time.

@Medic_alert emulators have already got it running at 60 on pc. Sony/from software just can't be bothered.

@TheTraditional as ***** as this announcement was. It was focused on one sole thing. An overpriced discless standless ps5 pro.

Why would they announce a second console?

Which ps5 plays PS4 physical games better? I will use that one...

@Cloud39472 I assume they are working on porting every single game, but haven't decided which game will be in volume 2 and which will be in volume 3.

@Lyrick7 peace walker is still locked to 360/PS3. No way to play on pc or modern consoles very well.

@evasdf game was never crap. End cut scene was way too long, but the actual gameplay was fantastic for the time.

It's not that hard to choose which games come next in the series...

@CrashBandicoat looking at the sheer backlash on YouTube and Reddit, I really don't think the demand is going to exceed the supply.

Overpriced, no disc drive included and not even that much if an upgrade in the real world tests he showed.

@Bamila scalpers won't touch this. It's an overpriced enthusiast product that's facing major backlash, no fear of it selling out, scalpers won't want to be left out of pocket like they were with the ps5 in the end.

@LifeGirl it's not that people are less intelligent, but things are handed to people nowadays (I'm talking about games) there are hardly any games where you have to figure things out anymore, the pathway is highlighted with yellow paint, or blatantly told to you by npcs. Back in the 80s or 90s you had to figure it all out yourself, and with some games it would punish you harshly if you couldn't. (Sierra springs to mind)

@donv2135 at that price point there are many better headsets, many that are wireless with far better lens tech. I honestly don't see the point of this.

@MrMagic nor did the serious lack of any games for the psvr2, Sony has an awful track record of first party support for its add on hardware.

Sony planned it so well, they 90% of the psvr2 features can't be used on pc at all, and you need to buy a seperate adapter...

Let's face it, they barely planned it for the ps5 considering it has no first party games.

Why put a spoiler in the picture? Of all the pictures you could use... Would be like posting an article about last of us 2 and posting the golf club scene.

Best decision they could have made. They are famous for making amazing skngle player player experiences. They need to double down on that, we have enough cookie cutter multiplayer games out there.

@Glorioso but then again, Xbox doesn't sell any consoles, so they need the gimmicks to try and make up for it.

@nomither6 why does no-one on the internet know what "underrated" means?.the console sold insanely well, it beat the Xbox 360 on sales despite coming a year later and reviewed extremely well... How In any way was it "underrated?"
