Shadows has been lackluster for me.. idk why people hate on Modern Day story when it’s literally the basis of all of the games.. I feel like people who don’t enjoy that part of the AC story don’t really have a true love for the franchise.. if you want something else then play something else ffs

AC Shadows has zero Modern Day story, zero gods, zero fantasy, and zero interesting bosses.. as beautiful and as well made as this game is - it’s not f$#%ing AC at ALL.. Japan and its culture is super boring and I hope this game sells enough copies so Ubi can bring back OG AC.. I almost fell asleep twice during some dumb mission about drinking tea and ‘proper tea etiquette’.. so boring.. can’t even hunt..

Beautiful game regardless of bugs.. just wish there was some fantasy, gods to fight, or something.. Japan has so many great monsters/myths/gods and I feel bored with just killing a bigger guy with spongier armor than the last big guy..

No Modern Day stuff either.. people can hate on it all they want but AC was literally built around the idea of plugging up to a machine to relive through your ancestors via DNA.. had to quit playing around the 20 hour mark as I started to fall asleep during some mission about drinking tea and proper tea etiquette 😔

Serious question.. does this game only have Japanese language with English subtitles? I can’t focus on the subtitles and enjoy the game/cutscenes at the same time

I know I’m the odd man out here but I’ll say it anyway.. not a fan of Japanese culture or games set in Japan (anime makes me cringe)..

Regardless, Ghost of Tsushima blew my mind and AC has never let me down, personally.. So, I have high hopes for this game and hope it does well.. I’ll be purchasing this day one (physical) and could care less about ‘historical accuracy’

I need subtitles on stuff so I can look down really fast in case I mishear something.. can’t imagine just staring at subtitles the entire time instead of the actual game.. very disappointing considering I was looking forward to this.. welp good thing there’s a good lineup this year.. finally

I can’t be the only one unimpressed by this game.. everything is choppy and laggy.. yeah the grass looks nice but blocky animations all around.. I love the Sniper Elite series.. even Resistance.. but if we’re being honest, they all have those same same blocky animations and buggy npcs..

Hope I’m wrong tho and hope they sell well enough because I’m hoping for a Sniper Elite game built on a better/completely different engine than this.. this reminds me of Fallout 3 or something

Crazy I’ve been considering this as of late.. my wife will only allow it as an ‘investment’ type deal as long as I sell it as soon as I’m tired of it.. not a racing fan at all so idk about GT7.. Thanks for the heads up! I just started Outer Worlds Spacers Choice Edition over the weekend.. I played the original on PS4 years ago.. I played on normal mode and never got the DLCs.. having a good amount of fun with it on hard mode.. I need to pick up the pace I guess lol

Hell, Armageddon had 62 playable fighters, a proper Krypt, AND Motor Kombat.. and that was all on the PS2 disc with no extra money needed

PS5 MK1 nearly 20 years later we get only 22 characters and some crappy board game with monotonous repetitive gameplay
