Re: Don't Rule Out Dead Space for the PS4 Just Yet

VmprHntrD

I'd only welcome the game back if they went back to just how the first one was designed. Two bored the crap out of me and I quit and the third went off the rails like the article here says so I didn't even bother buying it. I don't get ruining what made the game so special with just one bad decision followed by another.

Re: What If Indie Games Got Collector's Editions, Too?

VmprHntrD

So like do what Limbo did and the various Indie Boxes? If the game is so damn good, give it a special package deal and a physical copy of the game on a disc or a credit card sized flip USB card. I'd buy more download type games if they came this way.

Re: Weirdness: Sony Yanks The Interview Amid Intensifying Threats

VmprHntrD

Despicable cowards all, Sony and the theaters. The United States first (public?) large scale loss in cyber war, and to North Korea of all things. This needs to be shown still by whatever means. You can't let people like this get away with it because it has far reaching and more frightening consequences of allowing an outside nation dictate our freedoms which the US allows and they do not. I've seen various suggestions and Romney was the best — stream it online for free, then have a donation box where you can give to a cause. I imagine the amount of pissed off people globally, US citizens in general would fork over some quality money to another's benefit. Sony has lost their money on it as it stands, at least make a positive out of it, then someday later, blu-ray and streaming services.

Tasuki NO a movie isn't worth peoples lives. The rights and freedoms of this country and not having them dictated by chickens**t external powers is entirely worth it.

Re: Don't Have Destiny's First Expansion? Then You're Locked Out of Some Existing Content

VmprHntrD

Ugh I haven't fired it up in weeks as I'm no fan of online play (arenas) and because I couldn't get with people to play since those nitwits didn't include a lobby to setup parties. I'm up to Mars on the game, but man, this is a punch to the nuts leaving out stuff I paid for now that the pay DLC is out which I didn't want. I'm kind of tempted to just erase the stupid game and sell it because this is just a beginning now of years of milking with their other releases planned coming out.

Re: Street Fighter's Natural Home Is on PlayStation, Claims Sony

VmprHntrD

Eh I always saw it at a Nintendo thing first and Sony second, so they're not too far off the mark. I'm not going to disagree, but I can't entirely agree either. I do believe it's not really at home on a MS box though, they're more of the FPS, WRPG, Sports and Racing box home to Halo, Gears of War, Forza and not much uniquely else.

Re: Yes, Lara Croft Will Likely Still Climb onto PS4 in Rise of the Tomb Raider

VmprHntrD

Tomb what? Uncharted 4 will do just fine up against that game as it unlike the adventures or Lara have a consistent level of high quality and high sales.

It will come to the PS4 in time, unlike where it appears Sony put up some development dough on SF5 to lock that down. They can claim that KI is the better thing and enough, but people who really know fighting games will find humor in that cop out.

Re: Call of Duty Named Gaming's Greatest Series by Guinness World Records

VmprHntrD

This is very non-Guinness like. I tend to think of the group as one based on actual fact and NOT opinion of a narrow group of like minded people. They've for a long time been about challenges, pushing the envelope, and marking the bests under proven conditions. Asking 5000 video game players, maybe not even actual video gamers, just the 'as activision put it' casual gamers into shooting, all selecting the biggest yearly rehash on the market outside of EA's turn style hardly make it true.

Re: November's PS Plus Offering Is an Indie Game Extravaganza

VmprHntrD

I'm kind of shocked at the amount of ingrate comments on here towards this set of games. The fact we who have PS+ get free games every month is a very nice bonus, and we still got those. DriveClub was an extra on top of an extra, and yeah there's no sugar coating just how bad they f'd that up alone for paying customers of the physical full game, but to get this butt hurt over a bonus freebie just reeks of being cheap, petty and being a modern era entitled child about things. If it happens it happens, if it doesn't, life goes on and more free crap will be delivered every month going forward. I'd think the amount of whining if anything could stop people from wanting to do added extras if this is the crap they're looking to catch if something malfunctions.

Re: Pachter: PS4's American Winning Streak Ended in September

VmprHntrD

Pachter like to talk out of his arse. He's been trolling gamers for years, primarily screwing with Nintendo owners I think just to piss them off. He'll find any fun angle to work to stir up controversy and have his name get more hits online to validate his paycheck and employment in making his 'educated' guesses. It's all about just stirring the pot, not so much reality, when you can play with numbers to get more page views and discussion. Yes I know what my avatar is, but I am and have been fairly done on them on the console side for awhile now and a happy PS3 and 4 owner.

Re: Minecraft Will Continue to Exist on PlayStation Platforms Despite Big Microsoft Buyout

VmprHntrD

For that price expect any new versions to only work on microsoft pc, tablet and console backed systems. They are not and have never been a company of good will towards competitors or consumers from their earliest days aping DOS from IBM and WIndows style from Apple. It's all about the money as with anyone, and with them 2.5B into it, to get it back, it'll go home and stay home in the future. Sure they'll support existing stuff, it's money in the bank, but if you love the franchise pray you like Windows or their substandard console.

Re: Not Even Sony Understands Why the PS4 Is Selling So Well

VmprHntrD

Price, unique titles now and known they control to come, and the online network for the price making it worth it with the monthly freebies and discounts. Also MS stepped in it, and kept stepping in it, and eventually even when they finally wiped the turd off their boot, the stench remained as did their higher price. MS is as much to blame in it as Sony is with all the bad moves those fools made that stick in peoples minds.

Also agree with the other post, disgruntled WiiU owners who want more than a Nintendo box only system in their home, of which I'm one.

Re: Why Won't Sony Allow You to Subscribe to EA Access on PS4?

VmprHntrD

@Paranoimia Which is exactly why I do NOT buy some EA games that actually look interesting on the computer, the forced use of their crappy DRM known as Origin just use fully use or in some cases even use the game at all. EA was one of the early console game makers that got into the nickel and diming garbage with all the IAP/DLC junk between mobile platforms and consoles. They have that, they have next Origin, and now you have this EA access. Don't think once they figure out this thing is sustainable and profitable they won't start tying down usage of the games from DLC to multiplayer or all 'online' use to a paid service. Sony is self serving and have been very dirty over the years in screwing other console makers into the dirt, but they are on the nose with a valid point on this. If this is allowed to fly on PS4 and it profits, all the other big boys will do it too and I could easily see Activision being the first considering their history of tactics and Square-Enix too since they already do the forced online junk with many games.

I'm not happy with PS+ costing money, but at least every month you get 2 free games out of it per system, good price cuts, and other little perks which makes it not that bad for just $50, but it was stinky making PS4 online bound to it.

Re: Gamescom 2014: Sony Refuses to Rehash Previous Generation on PS4

VmprHntrD

I agree an Uncharted Saga package with all three if not 4 (Vita) in one disc with the updated visuals and so on much like Tomb Raider remastered (or GOW1+2 for PS3) got. They're such solid games and if you were one of many who bailed on MS this go around and didn't have a PS3 before (or had a Wii) they'd be something not to miss out on. Beyond Two Souls probably would be good too as you said in the piece, but I think GoW would be beating the horse close to death, pushing Nintendo territory with the old SMB titles.

Re: Reaction: Why Lara Croft Will Still Raid PS4 in Rise of the Tomb Raider

VmprHntrD

I'd like to go in and say screw MS and clearly Square-Enix hasn't learned anything about losing money doing dumb stuff, but this actually works out well most likely. I think Uncharted pops at the same time this would, so Square won't lose any Sony dollars as Uncharted would smoke them in sales on PS4. Then you have the game come out the following year when the pomp and fluff of Uncharted 4 has well died off and they'll have smoother sales for those who own the PS4 and aren't into buying every console out there (which is a lot, and most would own a WiiU+ one or the other if anything.) It makes sense if this is just a 2016 release to avoid taking a pasting. Perhaps MS is paying SE enough money to cover what they assumed they'd have made given it went to PS4 too in 2015 so it would be a risk vs reward setup that works in their favor. Tomb Raider is fantastic but Uncharted clocks it entirely across the board still.
