Is Yoshinori Kitasea complete moron? From reading his comment, either he was never really a fan himself, or he is one of those people that just want to destroy classics to create his own crap.
The ONLY reason people have been begging for a FF7 remake game for over 20 years, was BECAUSE they wanted to at the exact damn game again. People that wanted the remake wanted a real remake, not trashy deconstruction of what we loved! If Yoshinori wanted to make diverge like this, he should have simply made it a DLC or something.
In the end, the truth is told by Sephiroith in the game, mocking the fans with perhaps their most beloved character.
Sephiroth is basically telling you the player that it is time forget the past because we can do anything. This on the surfacd might seem nice, but what it really is, is a game dev ***** on the old game and the fans, telling people that he can an will take what they love and change it. And that they should forget the old game because he is making it irrelevant.
What is up with that? This guy, just like the disgusting people making the RE2 and RE3 remakes, are just creating forgettable trash.
