The PS Portal is an amazing streaming handheld, a proper dedicated portable that can play games from an SSD would sell gangbusters. Graphically it would beat the Switch 2 hands down and without the complications that come with unwieldy PC gaming handhelds. We could be looking at a device with complete mainstream appeal that should sell upwards of 60 million at a conservative level.
@8bitOG why do you even need to 'own' these things in the first place? It's not like you created the films and games that you so lovingly covet on your living room shelf, so I just fail to understand why you need to have these things in your possession at all times. Who even watches a film more than once anyway?
@Exerion76 Well a video game is incredible value for money when you take into consideration a holiday or tickets to a theme park. If you pay £69.99 for example to play The Last of Us 2, even if you only play it once in your life, the value proposition is off the charts. I just can't bring myself to care all that much if I ever lose access to any of my games, it just gives me an opportunity to pay the creatives I love an extra bit of pocket change if I want to play it again.

And no PC is in no way better than Playstation. I used to be a PC gamer and it was a complete buggy and unoptimised mess of a platform where every game had some sort of nigh unsolvable problem. Playstation is the polar opposite, games just work straight out of the box and plus, Sony make the best games on the market full stop. I would have missed so many amazing games had I stuck with PC and never bought a PS4 when I did.

Playstation is the best place to play games, and if people want to play the best then they will understandably pay the cost of entry. PC is just too unreliable and Xbox is finished. If you can't afford it, yeah it sucks, but the PS6 is a premium product and people can save up over time.
I don't see what the big deal is. If you've watched a film once you don't really need to see it again. If, for whatever reason, you want to watch it again you can pay somewhere else for it, and it will still be cheaper than a ticket at the cinema. This is such a nothing burger honestly...
