The character may be free, but everything else is going to cost you. Season pass, per character!, $10. Then a whole bunch of costumes, emotes and finishes to be purchased from the shop. Don't forget, this isn't a free to play game, its $60 plus game.
@Octane I'm sorry, but what!! The more popular something is the more hate it garners? I think Ghosts of Tshushima would Like to have a word. There will always be a small, insignificant group who will moan. But its only a tiny fraction. But not on the scale of TLOU2. It sold well, yes, but my god did a lot of people return the game very quickly. Plus, Sony were expecting to sell a lot more copies. Hence the full shelves and no refund policies implemented. With over 2000 people having worked on the game, Sony's words, not mine, and an insane marketing campaign, I would love to know the break even point for this game.
@lacerz Its not the exclusivity deal thats pissing off pc and xbox players. They happen all the time. Its the sheer amount of content that is being cut out. If the game had dozens of characters to pick from, it wouldnt be such a big deal. But there isn't. Its like having an exclusive lancer in Anthem, or a Guardian in Destiny. You only have a few to begin with, so adding an extra character with all new moves and abilities, plus story content, is a huge deal.
@carlos82 Ok, now this is an outright lie. This had thousands of 5 star reviews a month before the game was released. You do not need to have any Sony game to be able leave a review on the PS store. Its been that way for years. But aparantly, positive review bombing is ok, right? Even before its out? Both sides have gone out their way to boost or reduce the metacritic score. But the fake scoring started with Sony weeks ago. Please check your facts before making sweeping statements.
