Re: PS Portal Is Proving Everyone's Predictions Wrong

ScarletSpidey

I've had a nightmare with my internet being unstable. It's entirely the ISP's fault and nothing to do with Remote Play or the Portal but... it's really made me wish that if Remote Play loses connection it automatically pauses the game. Sick of being thrown out and reconnecting only to find I'm dead.

Besides that, it's a hit in our house. My wife's actually started playing games for the first time ever. Getting an hour or so in a night on sim games.

Re: PlayStation Portal Is Sony's PS5 Remote Play Handheld, Priced at $200 / £200

ScarletSpidey

I do a lot of Remote Play and would probably buy this if they can do something about the stability. It's not my internet connection, I've got all that sorted, but 3rd party indie games can crash the whole thing endlessly while 1st Party AAA games play as smooth as silk. Sometimes in the same gaming sesh. There's no consistency and I can only think it comes down to the Developer.

Re: PS5's Remote Play Portable Will Allegedly Launch in November

ScarletSpidey

I play a lot of Remote Play but I'd only consider buying this if Sony pushes 3rd Party Developers to consider it more. I can play something like GOW with zero issues but a relatively lightweight Indie can have it dropping out every few minutes. And it's not an internet speed issue or connection either.

Re: Pay for PS5, PS4 Platinum Trophies Is Rampant on PS Store Right Now

ScarletSpidey

@Max_the_German Just turn the notifications off and ignore it?

I like trophies because they give me goals to aim for, maximising my value from a game and keeping my interest in the long term. That being said, I only play games I enjoy and if any trophies become unenjoyed (speed runs, extreme difficulties) I just don't go for them. I have no interest in buying a game just for the trophies.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Realistically Expect from PS5, PS4's Game Pass Inspired PS Plus Reboot?

ScarletSpidey

I want to be able to play old games on PS4/5. I'm not really fussed about having a catalogue of modern games but appreciate I'm in the minority there.

I also want to be able to stream it. I was going to purchase PSNow but then found out I couldn't play it via RemotePlay so it was an instant no from me. I think that probably means you'd need to download the games to console.

Re: Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 HD Removed from PS Store Today Temporarily

ScarletSpidey

@Balosi Not really. The copyright is owned by the person who filmed it or, more likely, the Production Company they worked for as their contracts will stipulate they own the copyright for any footage filmed for them. It's just like anything else - music, photos, written content etc. Just flagging to dispel a potential rumour as MGS is prone to.
