It wouldn't be the first time Sony puts their foot in their own mouth and do exactly what they criticized the competition for.

While that's true too, that makes them unpredictably dangerous for Sony caught unprepared with people investing on just a PS5 pro.

Microsoft have been very clear about NOT releasing a "Pro/upgrade" Xbox version, Phil Spencer rather opt for a whole new console by 2025/2026

But with the impending PS6 release so close, who would really fall for a PS5 pro, especially Microsoft releasing the next Xbox successor at the end of next year, Sony will be hard pressed on releasing a PS6 even sooner rendering the PS5 pro a waste of money, time and resources.

Perhaps in Europe, but not in the US where I live... besides the price cut should be permanent which is perhaps the reason why Sony hasn't been able to meet sales numbers with the PS5.

Sony needs more consistency on this matter, people who decides to buy these games on PC they are not going to be persuaded in buying a PlayStation regardless.

Sony needs to realize that for PC gamers the PC versions are and always will be the superior versions...for obvious reasons.

It's good but not as good as the first entry.

Many of those that have played the game have already agree on that fact.

That sentiment also reflects on the disappointing game sales in comparison.

It's funny how people that can't accept the painful truth on here doubt Shawn's words without realizing that he was the most successful PlayStation CEO Sony ever had.

He ran PlayStation, he ran the platform holder so he knows better than anyone here what he is talking about.

He is absolutely right...Phil Spencer has said the same thing for the past decade and nobody wanted to listen.

@MikeOrator Square Enix doesn't need to be hurting in money to do the most outrageous decisions, they do decisions out of spite.

Chances are Square Enix offered the Tomb Raider timed exclusivity to Microsoft to teach Sony a lesson, as the same could be said about Final Fantasy XIV taking so long to be on Xbox even after Phil Spencer said multiple times that they were waiting on Square Enix to make a decision about it... Even more outrageous was the sale of Tomb Raider and other IPs to Embracer for just 300 million when they most probably offered them to Sony and Microsoft first but for far more money and they declined the sum.

Or do you really think Sony or Microsoft would have passed that deal for just 300 million???

@MikeOrator Make no mistake, Sony is getting all the good stuff while Microsoft gets the scraps, but the question is for how long can Sony keep feeding the beast with their money before Square Enix looks the other way and sides with Microsoft for a ground shattering deal the way they did with Tomb Raider.

Money talks and Square Enix has no allegiance to anybody than to themselves.

The disappointing sales numbers on this sequel could potentially make Square Enix hesitant on investing the same amount of resources on the next game.

Square Enix is not precisely the company that likes to take risks at all.

Meaning all 3 games could come out on Xbox all at once.

Chances are the games are timed exclusive to PlayStation but as a full package trilogy might come out on Xbox all at once.

@gymratAmarillo Why would I want to play it on GamePass? because unlike PSPlus, Xbox is giving me the option to enjoy it for a fraction of the price while you might have to pay full price for it.

Capcom is getting payed handsomely by Microsoft for GamePass users, so I'm guessing those buying on other platforms should really be concerned on helping the developer at full price.

The world is full of options...some better than others as you can see.

I wish this was releasing on PSPlus on Day 1 as it's already announced for GamePass.

So GamePass it is.

Good, after what we seen Sony needs to get their stuff straightened out before even thinking on acquiring anything.

No need for more premature studio shutdowns or layoffs.

Mean while Sony is allowing FireSprite to remain open although there are a ton of reports of employee mistreatment by verbal and mental abuse within the studio.

More old games...shocker
