I actually did like playing **** , but the point where you have to chase and fight **** did ‘feel’ very weird and uncanny valley the first time I played, so kudos to ND for making me feel that way, which I think is what they wanted.

Umm.. price has gone up from day one release, then PS5 Pro releases with higher price(obviously) and yet the PS5 still continues to shift tons of units.

So… um… no. No cheaper console likely any time soon. People vote with their wallet and have decided, Sony, please take my hard earned money. Sony says thanks in return.

Switch 2 should be good for you, as you seem to like their library of games.

As you know, this is my last gen and this sort of topic and reading through comments about a possible all digital future, means, for me, that I’m making the right choice.

Like you, I too have enough backlog/old games to keep me happy during the wet UK winters.

What I said still holds true - gaming is becoming too expensive for the average person, regardless of graphics card prices.
They will decide cards are way too expensive, then look at consoles and see they getting expensive as well with games rising( digital only has got everyone in a strangle hold) and decide ‘ you know what? I think I’m going get a different hobby.’

Don’t believe me? A massive PlayStation install base is still on PS4 and this is the first gen of consoles that have not had any price drops but have actually gone up in price.

If that’s the cost of development, and it keeps going up, then so too will the cost of each game.
Then factor in cost of console development.
PS6 - £800 - £1000?
Gaming becoming very expensive for average Joe, with numerous reports of games ‘underselling’
Maybe M$ have a good idea about a phased move away from console space like Sega before them

Not bad with work, home to run/maintain and dependant family member to take care of.
