Definitely not true....Sony benefits far more from double dipping on remasters and remakes than trying to re-selling you again an old game that you might already have running on native 720/1080i resolution.
PlayStation gamers get to play the games at full price, Xbox GamePass subscribers at a fraction of the retail price and Xbox as a whole gets profit from every angle.
That would not make Sony happy as they are trying so hard to move people away from the PS4 even by skipping Lego Horizon just on PS5 and Switch neglecting PS4 owners.

After months and months of player negative feedback and a half-assed "Offline mode," is the best they can come up with?
Obviously the game on its self wasn't even close to be ready for launch when it fully depended on online servers to run most of its assets.

Xbox ended up saving the Gaming SummerFest, Nintendo, PlayStation were pretty much dead in the water.
