Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown?

@dark_knightmare2 I respect that…but as I’ve said, I don’t find the world that big…I was hoping it would have taken me to other realms…the boss rights are ok…the platforming for me would be great if the controls were better. There’s not that many optional challenges (and yes I’ve found the hidden areas).
Each to their own but for me definitely not worth anywhere near £50

Personally I gave it 6. Whilst the locations are visually stunning and I love how they’ve blended the side scrolling elements of the original and mixed with skills from the later games, there are aspect I don’t like. I have no idea why you have the playable character design, then slightly different cut screen characters that look like they are from a cgi cartoon, then artistic painted style images for the dialogue…it doesn’t match up.
The storyline is weak and for the most part you forget about it until you remember you are on a quest.
The map isn’t that big - it looks big but it’s not.
But what I hate the most is the controls. L2 is to block/pary…but if you accidentally still have this held down when you want to attack you end up trigger one of your powers that you didn’t want to use at that point. They also use the R3 button (which is terrible). Maybe if you could choose the buttons yourself it would make it slightly better.
Overall it does start to feel very repetitive. It’s a very easy game to complete very quickly unless you are obsessed with collecting.

Re: Poll: Are You Sold on PlayStation Portal?

The issue with this is that it's not needed and for the most part useless ... You can only stream games from you ps5 - so all those people that are ps plus premium members that can stream online games on the ps5 can't play them on this remote play device...so what's the point. Most people nowadays have a laptop, tablet or phone they can use to remote play games. What people want is to be able to take games on the go.
Why have a premium subscription for streaming games but then come out with a device that can't play them.

Re: Ubisoft Montréal Takes Over Development of Troubled Prince of Persia Remake

Littlemidge1986

So essentially they set up a new studio in Mumbai and give them their first major project to prove themselves…the team is so proud of what they’ve done and achieved BUT it doesn’t go down well with the gamers. The graphics and what they showed looked more like an upscaled version of the original with some tweaks.
So they went back to work on something they thought was near completed and spent so much more time and resources in it to try and prove themselves. Sadly it has proven they ain’t up to the task and maybe Mumbai isn’t the best place to have a leading team.

I’m sure they had some good artists on the team but had this been done by the Montreal team from the start this might have been out a lot sooner and potentially a second game on the way.

Re: Major Dreams Update Makes Creation Easier with Templates, Adds New Media Molecule Game

Littlemidge1986

It’s nice that they’ve added this but it’s too late.
The dreamiverse is so full of “games” that are from tutorials or shouldn’t have been released - it’s messy and frustrating to search through.
There’s no PS5 version after all this time. They could easily do a PC version (a mouse and keyboard would work wonders for creating)…

There are people who have created stuff like this BUT is so hard to find…and because of how the game works if you do try to use stuff it’s often not compatible with your characters.

Which moves on to the biggest issues - puppets and characters… they all more or less do the same and look the same because being able to customise them as a non-sculpter is non-existent… all they need is something like SIMS character creator that could be dropped in - and then sort out the logic for the puppets so they can easily grab, pull, swing, climb etc

All we’re going to see is clone after clone after clone of the same stuff using the same templates
