What more can they really add to it? Everything people want will be in a follow up. It's not like they ever announced DLC or a live service-esque cycle for this one. It's a pretty basic intro to what they want to do with some nice graphics but limited features, again this is mostly to test the waters for a bigger game to follow up.
@Reeneman Single player content (master league etc.) is expected shortly but the current product is still a meme unfortunately, I don't think they'll come back from this at least with this title.
FIFA as a license provides them nothing, the world cup isn't a draw like Premier League or Champions League rights are. It's been a very strong brand name for a long time and that's where they may lose out but those two licenses above are key, whoever holds those with exclusivity holds the market, just ask Konami.
I've never been an XBox user so I'm not fully sure on how Game Pass works, is it a merging of subscriptions as well, so to play online you need Game Pass, as well as if you want to play the games on there? Or is there an online pass / PS+ equivalent as well? I would rather Sony give the option as they do now but just beef up PS Now as a competitor, than take away what PS plus offers for its price.
Hyped to see the graphics and details on PS5, this is what made me hunt one down after all. The over the top arcade silliness of Grid Legends this Friday should have me in the mood for GT's serious car obsession the following week.
@Grumblevolcano Exactly this for me. I'm enjoying the game but it's not one I would typically have bought at launch, but it was either PS5 bundled with HFW or not knowing when the next time I could pick up a PS5 at retail price will be. Both Game and Very were doing these bundles and will account for a decent chunk of sales I imagine.
Given I just got a PS5 on Friday, a little of everything! Horizon has been fun, and then trying out the free PS5 upgrades for some of my PS4 titles has been interesting, and just seeing what's what all around! (You really need a way to sort comments by newest first by the way the way it's set up isn't really useful for anyone commenting or seeing the article later)
@JJ2 Definitely going physical for this gen, at least at the start. Big mistake I made with PS4 was ending up spending too much on a digital library, that when I wasn't playing a game anymore, or had bought the newer version, I then couldn't do anything with the one I'm no longer playing. With PS5 games set to hold a good value for a while yet, it's not a mistake I'll make again. It might end up being just a few pounds way down the line, but I'd rather have that to spend than sitting in a library that I no longer use.
With a PS5 coming on Thursday or Friday I'm pleased to see this happen right now. If I can load into the game without immediately seeing an NPC stuck in a wall I'll consider that an upgrade.

Re: Here's Your First Look at PS5's Slick PSVR2 Headset
While I'm not sold on the console aesthetic, the controllers and peripherals are gorgeous.

Any ideas what we'll be looking at file size wise on PS5 with compression?
