Be real!! Sony was trying to get an exclusivity window for Star Field like they already got for Final Fantasy 16. Microsoft knew this would kill this generation so they went all in and bought the publisher. No need to apologize. All business.
The biggest flag that someone is in denial is that they don't like Game Pass because they want to own the games. That method is still readily available to anyone. They have the same digital and disc options. Heck, you can say that that Game Pass is keeping the price at $60 if you want to buy. That's how much they charge for Forza Horizon 5 which stole the show. With the large market share Sony had and still has, they should have lowered their prices to $50 for their new games to combat Game Pass. Sony needs to provide more comparable value.
@BadPlayerOne I completely agree with your assessment. Sony is getting squeezed on two sides by Microsoft, but the Sony base is so strong that they will still prosper. The down side is that it makes Sony lobby for the increase to 70 games.
@BadPlayerOne You are just guessing with no supporting facts. People are only now discovering Microsoft's plans. Imagine seeing all those new TVs with the Game Pass app right next to the Disney Plus button. PS fans will be playing Starfield on their Ipads and so few right now know it. Playstation and Switch will probably the only places you can't play Star Field. Heck, some will play it on their phones
A word of hope to PS fans crushed by Starfield being exclusive. Microsoft will have tricks up their sleeve. I wouldn't be surprised if through a dongle, you may be able to plug right into your playstation and access Xcloud. Or a browser based solution like they are doing with IOS.
I feel that many of the guys that didn't see the value in the Microsoft show just aren't the demographic anymore. It's like going to the movies or staying home to watch. PS fans are more like movie goers pushing the premium to watch big budget films. Microsoft is like staying home and watching movies. It's a lot cheaper, but way more options. Both ways are fine. The PS problem is that MS is about to put game pass on many more devices and built into tv's People laughed years ago when someone from Microsoft said that Sony wasn't their main competition. Turns out they will be right. Microsoft will be fighting companies like Apple for steaming market share.
@CKFilms Argument for Game Pass is you can buy the same title day one at 10% off. Usually when a game leaves game pass there is a steep discount. Why not own it later after you tried it and it is cheaper? I own both so Game Pass helps me subsidize the increased pricing of recent games.

@vapidwolf Sony doesn't want Game Pass. It is their choice why it is not exclusive.
