Psychological horror The Medium – which launched as a high-profile Xbox Series X|S console exclusive earlier in the year – will toggle dimensions to the PlayStation 5 on 3rd September. After some speculation, the port was quietly revealed during Nintendo’s E3 2021 presentation earlier today. Bloober Team, the release’s developer, says that the title is “more immersive than ever” thanks to its DualSense support.
“The Medium is a next-gen psychological horror game, featuring never-seen-before and officially patented Dual-Reality Gameplay that plays out across two worlds displayed at the same time,” the official blurb reads. You can check out the trailer above.

Played it on PC and loved it.
Nice. Definitely a cop.
Played it on PC. It's...fine. Deffo a 20€ game.
man i really didnt get on with this game its the kind of game i should have loved. love evil within dont mind a walking simulator but this felt so clunky and annoying to play. and graphics wise it could have been mistaken for a 360 game
Not interested in that snooze fest. I'll just play Village for a second time instead since there's a lack of good horror game these days.
Played it on PC, good game. It will also look fantastic on PS5.
So it'll be better on PS5 because of dualsense lol. It's a good thing, but I think it's crazy how much the controller makes a difference and gives it inherently better versions. It's what makes me sad about Bethesda, they have plenty of games would be incredible with the dualsense, but that potential will be forever throttled now.
It is just OK at best. Wouldn't pay money for it.
@The_New_Butler not sure which PS3 games you played, but none looked as good as this. I do agree on it playing like an older game though.
Completed this on series s and its an average game, graphics though definitely aren't next gen
the average ps5 game score will go down with this garbage
This is the game I wanted a Series X for. At least I can get it on my PS5 now.
There's another one to the want list. The reception among people I talk games with was mixed but I was interested when it was first announced and still want to give it a try myself.
Looks quite nice but i dont have a PS5. 😢
@Snake_V5 this is the game I got a series X for. Bad mistake! Played an hour then haven't gone back to it. Was too distracted by other GPU games and it got lost in the myriad.
@Nepp67 I thought the game already had dullsense implementation on XB. 😈 It was fine as a gamepass game, i.e. I played it until I was bored.
@sawaoyamanaka heavy rain on ps3 looked better.
Looks like a turd
@StonyKL I have the same problem with my normal games i bought and i cant even be bothered to play PS Plus games getting old is a bitch.
@The_New_Butler Its looks fine but who cares if its fun its great. 😁
@TheDudeElDuderino I’ve played both and no it doesn’t.
This shows why getting something first isnt always the best thing.
I would not feel ok paying more than £15 for this game.
@The_New_Butler exactly. A neat concept absolutely wasted in a poorly plotted walk fest.
@The_New_Butler Have not played it yet so ill have to see.
5/10 game at best it was so tedious
From what I've seen, it just looks rather boring, and doesn't appear all that scary, granted a lot of horror games these days aren't particularly scary, even RE Village was pretty lacking in the scares department (Minus the Doll House section and the 'Look out the window' moment), but at least RE Village was fun and intriguing from start to finish.
@Royalblues Standard Edition will cost $50 USD at launch.
There's also a Special Edition, but it hasn't been detailed or priced yet.
