Re: Soapbox: PS5 Has Turned Me Into a Total 60FPS Snob

For me playing at 60fps I have really felt the benefit been dipping back into Division 2, Days Gone, Destiny, now they have the PS5 patches my aim and reactions seem a lot more accurate helping my old eyes i'm in my forties don't you know!! The whole experience is just smoother less jarring more enjoyable.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of the PS5 UI?

Love it, being in my late 40's and having so many family commitments its great to see the progress and time to complete on game activities, the hints system also looks brilliant I hate having to trawl through you tube and online guides, a lot of the time I may only have 30 minutes play time available and by the time you boot up the game download patches, try to remember what your trying to achieve its game over for me. If they can integrate this into Destiny 2 I will dust down my Titan and start playing again.

Being in my late 40's and having so many family commitments I love the fact that you can see the progress and time to complete game activities, its going to be great knowing I can just jump on and complete something and make some progress if I only have say 30 minutes play time available. I use to love playing Destiny 2 but it has become so complicated and such a time sink I don't bother with it these days hopefully they will integrate something like this within that as my Titan has become seriously neglected and is in need of a light level boost. Also the hints system brilliant!!!!

Re: Hands On: Destiny 2's Beta Is Familiar Fun on PS4

When does The Farm social space access go live?

Players can get an early taste of The Farm themselves as part of the upcoming Destiny 2 beta. It'll be available for just a single hour on Sunday, July 23rd at the following times:

UK: 6pm (BST)
Europe: 7pm (CEST)
East Coast US: 1pm (EDT)
West Coast US: 10pm (PDT)
Why just one hour? It wants to see "how many [players] it can accommodate at once", suggesting a stress test of the servers (which, lest we forget, is what a beta is partly designed to do). It also noted that "most vendors and services will be offline", partly due to the beta's lack of character progression, and partly because the space is said to evolve as you play.

Thought it was great played through the story 3 times using the different characters, liked Titan & Hunter the best, strike was good as well. It looked brilliant graphics wise, wasn't sure if it was in 4k didn't notice my tv display the 3840 x 2160 message which it usually does with compatible games on my Pro but guess that may be patched in when the game releases. Read somewhere yesterday that further along in the beta you will be able to access "The Farm" the new social hub, anyone know when this goes live?

@get2sammyb
Hey Sammy great review, couple of questions first one relating to the HDR passthrough issue on the processing unit covered yesterday, I can't for the life of me work out how a splitter would work in the psvr connection diagram you have posted. Second question do you know of any advantages when it comes to psvr being hooked up to a PS4 Pro like being able to do away with the processing unit or improved game performance ect, I think there is a usb on the back of the Pro so at least thats one less bit of cable mess.
Regardless of all this can't wait to the 13th gunna be awesome!

Re: PlayStation VR Will Provide Some Headaches for People with HDR Displays

HeisenbergBlue

Cannot believe this, was Playing Deus Ex Mankind Divided last night with the HDR patch installed looks fantastic clear upgrade in terms of visuals very shiny, so your saying once I get my PSVR im going to have to start messing about switching cables or use a splitter every time I want to play an HDR enabled game not cool Sony such an oversite if this is true, would be great to get some official confirmation/advice on the situation Sony please!

@AhabSpampurse
You need to go back into your bungie account click on redeemed codes and you should now be able to select the region and platform, although if you are a European PS4 owner you cannot yet select that option, it says to come back on 17th July, hope that helps
