2026 is not even here yet and Sony games looking rather dull. For me at least. Wolverine might be alright but that's it. The others don't interest me at all.

Anyone else feel like the PS5 is only just getting going?

When this was announced I was quite curious. Sadly the more i see the less interested I am.
what seem to be the core mechanics do not interest me at all. such a shame. for me at least obviously

@z0d15g0d totally agree. animation style was disappointing. too friendly and a bit warner brothers sadly. these stories deserve a better styling.

@Moj500 wow. As a consumer i have every right to be annoyed with games that don't run well. You really shouldn't go around attacking people for stating that simple fact. Or attacking people at all really. I have said nothing about Sony or you for that matter. Do you not think there is any possibility this is going to lead to further complacency from devs in the ongoing optimization problems we are seeing across the board. Might they just think, 'well the PRO will do the heavy lifting for us' and not bother doing a better job.

should state 'we can't be bothered to make our games run properly, so you need to spend 700 quid to experience them as they should be'

the first hub town you go in to has such blurred graphics. 720p at best surely.

funny you should mention that era. Because in built up areas that's exactly what it looks like. ps3 graphics. such a shame.

Apart from the few obvious ones. which i already own. These are the least essential picks i have ever seen.

Other than desperation driving me, due to lack of other games to play. I see nothing worth it really.

sadly i'm often pulled in to day one buying, due to the lack of other games to play. I don't like horror, souls like or pixel art. So this limits choice most of the time.
Never paying 70 quid though. i find that price way too much.

It feels like the console we should have got. Instead of the scam we were sold. The one where we have a console that cant play the games for it well. (MOSTLY)

honestly its disgusting how we have to wait months for a released game to be in an acceptable state. the resolution alone is enough to ruin my experience.

well, another sale without one single game worth it. good times. This is what happens when you have the monopoly on digital sales.

Honestly, I enjoy playing this game more than so called better games. That said, a world so centred around personal visual expression where you can't actually see yourself doesn't make sense. Also.. no white hair, they dropped the ball there. And augmentation is a big deal but you cant have fake boobs, no sense either..

exteel revamped for playstation please.

About a 7 for me.
suit selection was absolute garbage. stuck with original suits almost the whole game. The next game needs a customise suit option. would make you feel more like your own spiderman identity.
game length was too short for me, but i get that the way it was structured meant any longer would have been tedious.

The market does seem saturated with the genre does it not?
So millions of other developers there are not. Even less when you discount horror or pixel art games.. Seeing an upcoming game that looks interesting get coined a souls like is gutting to me as this generally means its main quality being its hard And with little story. Like a single player mmo. Even down to quite simplistic and clunky combat. there are exceptions obviously. A rewarding experience needs more than just 'it's hard' doesn't it?
With so few decent games on ps5, and games taking so long to make now. I find it all rather disheartening.

@Mikey856 .Are they actually part of the games though. I mean in a way that actually seems joined to your cinematic journey. From what i hear, you really have to go out of your way to find meaning to the worlds. Which for me doesn't cut it. if I'm playing a video game, i prefer an actual visual/ audible experience.

sick of souls like in general. stop making these games. It would free up time to make games with decent combat and engrossing story.

the resolution in performance mode is still poor sadly. framerate is much better but still has slight slow down to it in more action heavy moments. it feels like we are going to have to wait longer for this to be polished up to a current gen standard if you ask me.

Sounds about right really. What were people expecting? Its a new Armored core. No more no less. That's all you are getting. AAA it is not, never was. Hopefully one day we will get an expansive, deep and involved open word mech opera more like a Gundam wing type affair. The genre truly deserves more coverage.

Extremely happy to see some mecha action. Any news on an actually storyline? or is this more Fromsoftware lack of. Not that the old Armored core games had much going on in that department. Without the difficult [clunky] combat aspect to their games i wonder what they even have to offer really.
I'm still waiting for something more akin to Zone of the enders but larger.
