This game is going to be one of the best selling games of the year and will be in the top 10 best selling games, especially with it being on ps5. I also think it has a strong chance to finally start getting the critical reception and award nominations it deserves with it being on ps5 in the same release year. Could very well be pushing for a GOTY nomination.

It’s a good game. Is it the best Bethesda game, no. But it’s a fun space rpg that is very grand in scope. For $50 you can do far far worse in terms of games to buy and enjoy. Put 50 hours into it on Xbox before I sold my series x and only have my ps5.

Has anyone seen if the game is getting a physical release? With PM being the publisher could see one probably happening but nowadays you never know.

lol lost soul aside really screwed Sony. Good on Microsoft. Their highs weren’t the highest but overall they were more consistent than Sony.

Effing incompetence on Hulst’s part. Literally wasted an entire generation chasing live service. And that’s not even the real issue!!! The real problem was making stupid decisions with what live service games to make. They didn't need 12 of them first and foremost. 2nd why have single player focused teams make live service games in the first place. 3rd why did you have games that overlap in genre, fairgames and marathon are close enough in concept and will compete for players, and lastly is investing in stupid concepts like concord. Just stupidity.

Not shocking. It’s a good game and it sold well on pc and Xbox. It’s going to sell well on ps5 as well.

@Oram77 the point is that piracy is a very small fraction of the entire pc market. If piracy was truly that big of an issue then companies like Square Enix, shift up, pearl abyss and Capcom wouldn’t be focusing so much on pc as a platform.

@IOI the amount of pirates vs people that buy games is very small. Requiem sold well on pc cause its a great game and it was day and date on pc. Anti piracy software doesn’t lead to more sales. Witcher 3, cyberpunk, Baldur’s gate 3 all launched without drm versions and yet all 3 of these games sold 10’s of millions of copies.

@BAMozzy it’s a catch 22. Exclusives aren’t inherently good or bad, they are a needed tool to meaningfully sell gaming hardware. As long as the margins are good enough then sure keep the exclusives exclusive.

@IOI what a stupid thing too say when Resident Evil Requiem literally just sold millions of copies on pc and Crimson Desert is also about to do the same. Also when Nioh 3 reach a million copies sold in the fastest amount of time when it launch day and date with pc.

@Max_the_German Nintendo is able to make games and in particular multiplayer games on the cheap when compared to Sony and also the live service games get way more money by being pc day and date

@Sanquine this is a lie lol. PC gamers buy a crap ton of games. It’s the literal reason why companies like Shift Up, Pearl Abyss and Square Enix have moved away from ps5 exclusives.

The pc ports lost steam cause they weren’t day and date releases. Don’t begrudge Sony for doing this cause good exclusives are needed to sell hardware in a meaningful way but let’s ignore the real reason why recent PS ports don’t sell as well.

These results are why Square Enix is doing full multiplatform releases. Yes FF16 and FF7 rebirth both sold well overall yes but being limited to a single platform does limit sales. If both of those games had been multiplatform releases at launch they would have sold more. Also yes a major part of the problem is Square’s unrealistic expectations but still.

Good for them. They want a bigger cut of the pie and also want day and date multiplatform releases.

Man… requiem is gonna be generational game.

Independent and 3rd party teams have no good reason to be exclusive to ps5.

@AdamNovice mean it’s entirely the fault of the devs and the leadership here. Even a shadow drop would have been stupid. You need to do early access to build the game up and figure out what players actually want.

Good on Team Ninja. Glad Nioh 3 is doing as well as it is. It’s also the best example of why FF7 remake part 3 is going to be fully multiplatform day one. It’s already beaten Nioh 2’s record handily.

This is only a good thing. Square is missing out on a huge player base on PC day one. If part 3 is in the same ball park as rebirth and is day one on pc it will break 100,000

Really hard to get a read on this game. Everything they are doing on a preview marketing side is great, it’s just that it’s so hard to believe that a game this ambitious is going to actually be good.

If Wildlight is able to maintain this quick of being able to add things the game might survive. 5v5 flows so much better.

Glad to see and hopefully it does well. Xbox is doing with Fable what they should do with all of their games. Since Xbox isn’t trying to sell hardware anymore it makes no sense not to have their games everywhere day one.

Love to see it.
