Nobody buys the sauce. Manufacturer takes sauce out from the shelves. A gazillion people screams to go to the mountains because there is no more sauce! It makes no sense!
Seriously, with 90% of the market being digital, the market is just following our own decisions. We will be fine!
Look at our phones: We already live in an digital only app environment, and that's fine! Imagine every time you want to run an app in your phone you had to insert the app media in your phone - It would be insane. The same apply to games - The market killed the physical discs because of user convenience. We did it, together, not the companies alone!
Another example is the music industry. 25 years ago, if you wanted to hear that music, you had to buy that vinyl and have a ritual with your receiver, speakers, turntables, etc to be finally able to play that one song. Today, you ask your assistant to play that music and boom. Literally you don't need to lift one finger, also having all the world music available to you by paying one subscription. If you ask me, I prefer to have access to all the music in the world to hear anytime anywhere instead of 100 vinyl records in my shelf - but that's just me.
I think a valid question is: What happens if you want to buy a copy of the game and keep it forever? Well, this will still be available, but now, you have to keep the console. As long as you keep the console, you keep the game. If you wanted to play your all time favorite disc-based game forever, you will have to keep the console anyway, right?
What about game resale? Well, that's gone. The license is issued to be used by your account, and your account only. Also, something that also exists on computer software since forever, and guess what? It works for most of us.
Anyway, my opinion does not matter, facts and numbers does. 90% of market is digital. That's the reality.
Lastly, I wanted to say I am not trying to convince you of anything. I just sharing my POV that this is not the end of the world - Just another way to look at it. We will be fine!
One of the most enjoyable Platinum throphy experiences I had on the PS5. Not easy at all, but a blast! The graphics and atmosphere of Returnal is insane. Super duper polished, the alien biomes are so detailed you can spend a lot of time just looking at it. Eventually you get pretty good at the game mechanics, but still, if you don't keep your head up, you can be messed up really fast! I got this Platinum more than an year ago and from time to time I still play Returnal only for the fun! This speaks volumes - sometimes you get the Platinum and runs away from the game, but this one hits you differently! And man, let me tell you, this Platinum is one of those you are really proud of. There is no cheating or way around it, you have to walk the walk.
Day one for me! Halo is legendary and I am so happy to be able to play this on PlayStation! Don’t be jealous Kratos but Master Chief is pretty badass too 😂
This list needs to be updated. For example, the original Hollow Knight and also Silksong runs at delicious 120fps! About that: I never thought I would notice the difference between 60fps and 120fps but boy, I was so wrong.
@ppitchfork Nice to e-meet you! I prefer digital over physical because of convenience alone, and in 2025 this become gold as you can stream your digital game library directly from a PS Portal, meaning you can always carry your whole game collection with you.

Re: Rumours of a Red Dead Redemption 2 PS5 Version Swirl Again
60 FPS is all we need in RDR2! I would not complain if Rockstar surprises us and releases the Switch 2 version with a 60FPS patch for PS5!
