@jmac1686 holy crap thank you. I was reading each article thinking I've gone mad. Why else would they do daily vague answers RIGHT before Summer Games Fest if they didn't have a trailer dropping.
it's so damn obvious these vague comments are merely to get people paying attention as it builds right into Summer Games Fest. Day 7 ( FF"7") lands right on Geoff's show.
It was never about the comments it was about the PR build to the event.
Also - FFXVI coming soon doesn't matter. It's more attention to the final fantasy brand. FFXVI has a pre launch event in 4 days. They will drop a demo. Attention goes right back to it with the added fact that everyone on the planet who just saw rebirth will be wanting to get their hands on any FF that's available...... Cue FFXVI that will have pre-orders and a demo out.
They definitely mean Dual Tech type stuff. Like Yuffie's DLC where you can do combo attacks with different players. It's probably gonna be extremely customizable. This was a pretty good info tease personally.
I can't tell if you are all being purposely dense or not just for the comedy. Please let me know in the comments below.
It's pretty obvious this is leading into the Summer Games Fest with a trailer reveal. That's why it's a bunch of vague answers because the actual content of the trailer will explain things.
If by divisive you mean some people complaining about the ending in a 40+ hour game than I guess? The game itself isn't that divisive though. Game has been a critical success across the board.
Not sure why the preview for this game and this article acts like linearity is bad. FFX is one of the most linear FF's and it's also one of the best. RE4 is one of the most linear Resident Evils and it's one of the best games of all time.
Linearity means nothing if the game has good combat, fun characters, and a solid story. FF7 seems to cover all those bases. Also Midgar was always linear....outside of the areas like Wall Market or the Slums.

Re: No, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Is Definitely Not Releasing on PS4
Good. No way in hell should a game of this size be held back by previous gen.
