I admit I haven't played any of the more modern fighting games. I'm an old SNES OG SF2 gamer. But, DANG, the kinematic response to the punch and block is impressive. I think most games just kinda overlay the models and do not try to adhere to the physics of bodies interacting with each other. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't play a lot of fighting games these days. But, that just looked impressive.
The key games from the launch window are there, so that's good. I was half expecting Ghost of Tsushima to be on the list. But, might be that it's too bloated from the ps4 base to pull off well.
That said, I agree that we never have seen either PS5/Xbox really hit their stride at this point in the console lifecycle that we have in years past. There are games that look good, sure, but none that I think are really putting the system through >90% of its true capabilities. And, given how old the system is now I would think we should be seeing that now. I'll admit I don't own a PS5, but I keep a close watch on the games hoping something pushes me to finally grab one. HZW almost did it. I wonder if this lack of progress is because the systems are so similar to each other and the PC? It's why Sony has been doing well to port games to the PC. It gives me pause to consider what the next gen will be like if everything is becoming a PC.

Re: Ex-Psygnosis, WipEout, Skate Devs Announce New Studio Starlight Games
You had me at Psygnosis.
LOL, I kept waiting for demo scene music to start during that teaser. Also, the whole time I kept thinking, "this is Starlight, not Fairlight". LOL!
