Too much attention is given to keyboard warriors and social media children these days. All they yearn for is controversy and 'clicks' while having no appreciation of the time, effort and love that has been poured into games.
I personally find them pathetic and take them for the low lives that they are.
I'm still plowing my way through the first game. Wanted to put it down so many times but always find myself back in. It certainly has it's charms. I absolutely detest the combat though...
It is strange, I can't lie. When I was younger the feeling of going to a game shop to buy a new release, or being on the queue for a midnight release hit so different and was so exciting. But then you could go straight home, throw it in the console and start playing. Nowadays, if you have to install it to the console anyway then for me I might as well buy it on the store before I go to bed or before I go to work so that when I have the time to play I can do it straight away. It's just more convenient. It is sad though and I'm glad physical is still there for the collectors.
This may be a silly question but how is that even compensation if you're a subscriber anyway? If your subscription ends it automatically renews, 5 days later or not. Still got money coming out of your account that week 🤷🏻♂️
I get that this is a great game by a single person but placing it higher than games which took years and years to make which look and sound stunning with full voice casts and soundtracks etc is pretty crazy
I'm not by any means going to play it as I'm not interested in trains really in the slightest. However, as a kid who grew up watching Thomas the Tank Engine, this is a really cool update and it's good to see Thomas & Friends still getting love these days.
@lazarus11 dubbed movies, especially live action and not cartoon/animated, are tons more of an eyesore though when it comes to mouth movements etc during speech.
And game dubs are nowhere near as jarring as a normal shows or movies are for example, with the whole mouth actions throwing you off. Would rather spend more time looking at the game than at subtitles.
Good for Ben Starr! Seems a really likable person too which is always nice when they're doing well. Only thing that remains to be seen with Ben is his versatility. Troy can do a whole bunch of different roles really well. Hopefully Ben can without everyone just hearing Clive in his performances.
Some people want to just switch on and play, have their hardware auto-updated and not have to worry about much. For that reasons consoles won't go anywhere. Children too, you couldn't just buy a young kid a PC and expect him to know what to do with it to get gaming. It doesn't work like that.
When I was a kid I pumped so so many hours into the first few Gran Turismo's so I naturally bought GT7 on release day. I probably played it for around 12 hours and I just quit cold turkey. Not sure if it's because I have less free time these days or what but I found it super repetitive and couldn't get into it all
@Max_the_German this doesn't make much sense because of any major announcements happened they wouldn't be coming out before Christmas, when does that ever happen? They'd be for 2025-26
I'm starting to get the opinion that Hermen Hulst is a massive Xbox fanboy and is doing everything in his power to kill Playstation. Get him gone already, he's clueless as to what the fanbase actually want.
Geoff does come across as a bit of a bore to me in the sense that he takes everything way too seriously. When he laughs at stuff at his shows it seems forced, and during the sesame street sketches he does he is literally miming all of the words everybody is saying which takes the spontaneity out of it. When funny unscripted stuff happens which isn't pre-planned you can see the annoyance and anger in his eyes. He needs to chill.

Re: Game of the Year: #2 - Metaphor: ReFantazio
One thing that really bugged me with this game was that repetitive as hell scene before going in to a new day
Re: Game of the Year: #2 - Metaphor: ReFantazio
@HappyGamerGirl P3 is really good and they did a really good job of making the remake look good too. I prefer P3 over Metaphor 100%.

I unapologetically play them in English.
Why? Because I'm English.
