I agree this whole thing could have been handled better BUT, there is nothing worse than spending £50-60 on a badly finished, essentially broken game and then having to wait for patches, I have no problem waiting a little longer for the game to be ready, polished and in full working order!...and as for those sad degenerates who have left death threats, GROW THE F*CK UP AND GET A LIFE!
Only creepy if you want it to be so! As a long time fan and creator on LBP, I completely get where MM are coming from (and going to) with Dreams. It seems to me that Dreams will be an evolution of the idea behind LBP, but with far more freedom, allowing users to create games or movies (dreams) with user created/sculpted characters, props, sets and environments. The 'game' will likely feature an expansive tool set allowing creators to apply different mechanics, movement and triggers etc much like the logic tools in LBP, this will probably extend to tools for sound and music creation (okay so these are educated guesses).
It seems players/creators/users will be able to share things they have made to 'mash up' into other creations. Basically I think Dreams will be like LBP on steroids! More advanced and better looking creations in fully 3D user created environments. I think LBP fans are likely to lap it up, I predict my kids will love it!
As to whether it will sell well depends, I agree that MM need to do a far better job of clarifying what Dreams is, after all I have said I could be completely wrong!
