Is there supposed to be some sort of conclusive paragraph here? Why is the closing paragraph introducing new information? Was the game played for like 6 minutes?
If I'm reading this right, you want the archaic chest inventory system back in, but lament the inclusion of archaic mechanics like limited inventory and limited ammunition.
Yeah, making profits isn't exactly haemorraging money, just would have been nice if you reported on the whole story, not just the bit that gets all the commenters worked up for extra clicks.
I feel like Liam missed the point of the entire game here. You play as a deaf guy and view the world similarly to how he would, right? Why would there be any sound? Deaf people don't automatically know how to lip read so it looks more like the game shows you what it's like to be deaf which I think is pretty cool.
Yeah this is a huge stretch imo. It might have reminded you of some Zelda aspects, and I won't deny that it did for you. To me it was more of a Tomb Raider game with some compelling mythology behind it.
I think we can all agree though that the narrative in this one is about 1000x better than any other God of War released.
A patch hit yesterday, it resolves a lot of issues.
I'm not sure how beautiful a world people want when the game has to render a bunch of armies, as well as the fact it's a warzone, it doesn't need to be beautiful.
Also, I'm struggling to understand how having more weapons limits movesets but anyway.
"This issue is amplified by the fact that many characters have had their signature weapons taken away. Where Dynasty Warriors 8 ensured that every officer got their own unique moveset, Dynasty Warriors 9 brings back the clones, with some characters sharing weapon types and fighting styles. It's a real shame, because the varied movesets of games past really helped each hero stand out, and gave you more reason to take them for a spin."
You can literally use any weapon with any character and customise them how you like.
"The thing is, unless you know your Chinese history, you might end up selecting a character who only gets you through a small chunk of the story – and that can be a bit frustrating when you're just trying to unlock later chapters."
This actually doesn't matter?
I'm sorry but this review reads like the reviewer played the game for 2-3 hours.
The whole notion of cross-save, cross-play and cross-buy is a nice concept. But you don't have to have two seperate consoles to achieve it on the Switch, you also don't have to constantly upload saves and swap devices. This is a no-brainer.
You can also use a decent controller on Switch games, the Joycons are much more comfortable than the tiny buttons on the Vita. I love the Vita for RPGS and Visual Novels but nothing else really. You also have Pro Controller and USB Controller (including Gamecube) options)
Popping the thing into a dock and instantly playing it on the TV is what brings it closer to being an actual console, instead of buying a PS3/PS4 and watching a sluggish Remote Play game.
The rear touch pad is the worst invention in the history of handhelds, and yes I am aware of the N-Gage.
The Vita's screen is also too small and in many games this interfered with the gameplay. The Switch's screen size seems to remedy this.
It's not about a difference in opinion, it's a difference in what was delivered by the company who made it. So many mistakes were made with the Vita, Nintendo have made some mistakes with the Switch so far but nothing anywhere near as damaging.
@MinerWilly Retro/Grade was a PS Plus game 4 years ago. It's not a bad title but those like me who already got it through this subscription service are only getting 5 games instead of 6. It's pretty poor form, not like they couldn't find some cheap throwaway PS3 game instead.
The only other explanation I can think of is that because Europe get the same as NA now perhaps Europe got it because NA never had it before?
I believe that only the HD Cutscenes for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will be available in Theatre Mode, none of the actual game is apparently playable, according to IGN anyway, but that may not be the case either, it all seems really ambiguous.
There's not even many games I'm that interested in from the Play Store (until Metal Gear comes out for it), but I can use the Galaxy SIII and connect my own damn controller to it anyway
"We've given 14 Vita games a score of 8/10 or above on this website. How much time/money do people realistically have?"
Keep in mind that not everyone buys games just because they're rated 8/10 or higher, and I believe 4 of those are available on PS3, which most people would probably rather pick up.
I have a Vita myself, and the only thing I've bought for it so far is Touch My Katamari, which I've now finished. I am now hoping for something decent to come along in PS+, as I can't justify the price tag for half the games I'm even half interested in.
I like the concept, I still like the idea of the Wii U more myself though, only because it will easily have more support due to there not being enough decent games for the Vita to get anywhere near the sales of the 3DS and (I'm predicting here) Wii U.
I have a Vita though so I'll take advantage of this where I can!
Don't arcade sticks work on most games anyway (bar the second analog stick)? Even so, good to see they're willing to let you choose what kind of controls you want to use, right stick for throws sounds wonky to me anyway.

Re: Square Enix Reports Huge $33 Million Loss Thanks to Luminous Productions Change
Robert, if you read the whole article you'd find that their overall profits were halved, down to ¥8.64 billion ($76.4 million), but still a profit.
This is another classic Push Square mess up.

Re: Soapbox: After the Vita's Failure, Why Do People Now Want Console Games on the Go?
Alright, to break it down:
The whole notion of cross-save, cross-play and cross-buy is a nice concept. But you don't have to have two seperate consoles to achieve it on the Switch, you also don't have to constantly upload saves and swap devices. This is a no-brainer.

Ha! I love that the only negative review was from IGN. Since that one I've heard nothing but great things about it.
But I do have one gripe, almost 2 gigs for a brawler?! C'mon!!

Re: Treyarch Teases Black Ops 2's Zombies Mode... Again
Seriously Treyarch?
There's a fricken poster at most (if not all) EB Games stores in Australia stating that pre-ordering brings "bonus" Zombie Maps.
If that's not confirmation, then I don't know what is anymore..
