You know the hype was right when real life gets in the way and all you want to do is play more Clair Obscure. This game is brilliant. Music, environment, gameplay its all there. 11 hours in and I do not want to put it down. Sandfall deserve all the plaudits and awards that will be coming their way!
Finally it has a release date. I am so excited for this game. I don't think I have been this excited by a new IP in years. The story. The combat. The graphics and design. The whole lot looks epic. Roll on 24th April
@Andee there was some management speak saying to maximise profits they have to cut what isn't doing well (I paraphrase, but it is the gist I got). They did this about 6 years ago with the official Xbox and Nintendo magazines. I suppose at that point Play/OPM was turning a profit or had enough subscribers to warrant keeping it going but again things get more expensive. Yet Future can spend money acquiring sites like What Culture which basically is every magazine wrapped up in one website (wrestling, video games, film, TV, music). Its low effort, high yield as there is no print runs and no distribution cost and they can swamp it with as many ads as companies are willing to pay for.
@Runex2121 Edge is still made for now in the UK. It is Future as a whole. They really are struggling to make money or at least profit to please investors, which is not a surprise when the only thing they really care about is Youtube channels and websites low effort high yeild. I suppose it comes down to cost. No print runs and distribution. I buy magazines occasionally, but not on the levels it was in the 90's where I would use part time job money to buy one nearly every month. The official UK Playstation Magazine at it's peak would sell 250k copies at it's height. Now I would suspect Play would be selling 2000 if that.
Everything Konami touches has died a horrible horrible death. Pro Evo. Not gone. But definitely not the same game from the early 2000s Castlevania. MIA. Silent Hill. On life support. Metal Gear. Yeah alright, the collection was critically well received but the last new metal Gear game was Survive and that was rubbish and came out six years ago. There is a new Contra game coming out this year....so thats something. Just give up Konami. Pachinco is your jam. We get it. Just stop getting people's hopes up that you are going to be 1990s Konami
I still get Play magazine on occasions. The last remaining single format console magazine on the market in the UK. It is a shame that print media is lacking but you can get why. Hope the guy is successful with this
With all due respect why do sales charts even matter to the great unwashed like ourselves? If you like a game super if you don't also fine. I mean sales figures are only going to matter to the people who make the game as I understand it's part of the metric on if they get bonuses but I don't really care if FF16 sold well or not. I still want to play it. Not going to stop me. As for digital. Its obvious that was going to be the major method of selling a game when the consoles are much cheaper

@PuppetMaster Edge is still going. It is now £6.95 so who knows how much it would be outside the UK, but it is still around...for now
Re: Trails through Daybreak Release Date Set for July on PS5, PS4

Re: Silent Hill: The Short Message (PS5) - There's a Reason It's Free
@Worlock_ed yeah fair. Playstation product is probably a better description. Or game. Still Konami are a funny bunch.

Re: Silent Hill: The Short Message (PS5) - There's a Reason It's Free
@Worlock_ed that was an interactive TV show. They just tacked on limp mini games to justify making you pay microtransactions
Re: PlayStation Allegedly Under Pressure to Make Major Gaming Acquisitions
Sega/Atlus would be a good one to get. Put Sonic, Like A Dragon and Persona on lockdown.
Re: PS5 Console Exclusive Stellar Blade Will Have a Physical Release
Sounds right up my street. If it is anyway similar to Scarlet Nexus I will be one happy camper. That was one of my favourites on ps4
