Publisher and developer Argonaut Games has announced the release date for Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos, a remaster of the second game in the beloved platformer series.
As revealed in this brief trailer, the Croc 2 remaster is set to launch on both PS5 and PS4 on 29th October, 2026:
Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos is much the same proposition as the remaster of the original; it brings the sequel back on current platforms with refreshed visuals and modernised controls.

The Crocipedia also makes its return — a comprehensive museum mode that includes interviews with the devs, cut content, and other materials from the making of the game.
The sequel expands on the first game in a few ways, giving Croc more movement abilities, more varied things to do, and a broader setting with several villages to explore.
I'm really pleased Argonaut is continuing its work reviving some of its classic titles, and after the successful arrival of the original Croc, its sequel was the next logical step.
And it's not far away, either, launching in just a few weeks.
Argonaut is also celebrating Croctober this month, in which it will share news and updates about the series via its social channels.

Didn't play the first Croc on release, but got the remaster on sale a few months ago.
Thank goodness I didn't pay full price for it.
Wasn't impressed, irrespective of giving it the benefit of the doubt for being released in the 90s.
Too simplistic, limited boring corridor based environments. Even back in 1997 it pales against the more open worlds of SM64 which was released a whole year earlier. And the PS1 could do great and more expansive 3D platformers as seen in Ape Escape and Spiro so I don't think it was a technical reason, and much more limited game design.
He is a cute character though.
Playing through it I wondered if the corridor based design was a hang over from the initial concept of being a Yoshi racing game Argonaut pitched to Nintendo, presumably using the SFX chip. Can see this game being achievable on the SNES.
Is this sequel more of the same or possibly a marked improvement?
@bring_on_branstons I didn't know Spiro Agnew had a PS1 game.
Anyhow, I wonder if they keep the Jolly Ranchers, and if history repeats by the first game selling exceptionally well, and no one giving a toss about the sequel.
@Haruki_NLI now thats a name i thought i would never see mentioned on push square 😂
@Theamazing1 I'm surprised you saw the comment at all. Most people on this site hate my guts lmao.
I couldn't think of anyone else with that name though, it's very unique.
I enjoyed the first Croc remaster so I'll gladly pick up the sequel.
