Perhaps it’s because my focus has been on Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls of late, but I don’t feel like there’s much hype for Street Fighter 6’s new season at all.
Yasmine is out today, kickstarting the uber-popular fighter’s Year 4 Character Pass, with more fighters to follow, including Final Fantasy’s Tifa.
But while I think the franchise’s first Filipino looks like a lot of fun, it doesn’t feel like there’s much energy behind this update.
Perhaps it’s because there’s no World Tour content this time, and the character is following Ingrid, who was highly anticipated. I’m not sure.

There are a ton of balance changes for enthusiasts, which will surely mix up the competitive scene, and you can read through those in full through here.
Also pertinent is that your avatar character will be able to learn Yasmine’s moves, even though she won’t feature in the World Tour mode. You’ll enrol in Avatar Battle instead.
I’m curious how you’re all feeling about this update, though. Am I right in saying there’s a lot less energy behind this one overall? Or is that just me being too focused on Marvel Tokon? Let me know below.
