Are Digital Sun and 11 Bit Studios having a laugh? As if next month's release schedule wasn't already stupid enough, they've decided to drop Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault on the 2nd September for PS5.

This dungeon-crawling sequel's been in early access since November of last year. Version 1.0 will signal its full release across all platforms.

But if, like me, you're currently planning on playing an ungodly number of new games in September, then you may appreciate the fact that Moonlighter 2 has a demo. It's available to download right now on PS5, weighing in at 4.9GB.

The first Moonlighter is widely regarded as a top notch indie adventure; a potent mix of procedural, action-based dungeon exploration and shop management.

This follow-up, which arrives a whole eight years later, aims to build on its predecessor with more in-depth gameplay systems and 3D visuals. Its early access edition has been really well received on Steam up until now.
