GTA 6 PS5

Rockstar and Take-Two have reaffirmed plans to launch GTA 6 on 19th November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, as part of the latter's newest earnings results.

That's just about all CEO Strauss Zelnick had to offer in the latest round of interviews, besides reminding everyone that Rockstar plans to begin marketing GTA 6 in the Summer. This comes after a few fan theories of a third trailer and pre-orders dominated online chatter while they were potentially accurate.

In what read like conspiracy theories, some GTA fans convinced themselves there would be new footage uploaded on 12th May. This quite clearly never happened, but then, just a few days later, Best Buy sent out an email to its registered affiliates regarding pre-orders. That never materialised into actual, real pre-orders either.

Zelnick today repeated: "So the next few weeks I don’t think it’ll be summertime yet, but when it’s summertime, Rockstar expects to start marketing GTA 6."

In fact, speaking to the Best Buy rumour, Zelnick told Bloomberg that "he didn't know where this week's Best Buy rumors came from".

As we draw closer to the summer season, it feels like the confidence in that 19th November 2026 release date is only growing from both Rockstar and Take-Two. The year is set up for it to launch, and every other developer is getting out of its way. If it really does make it to market in November, it's shaping up to be the biggest entertainment launch ever.

In essence, the message seems to be: hold fire. Trailer 3 and pre-orders are coming... eventually.
