Wolverine PS5 Consoles, Accessories Available to Pre-Order Now

I don't get buying a console wrap for a console that has overheating issues but each to there own!

Techradar links to the Pro covers were useless. Weren't even correct. By the time I saw it on the site in a different place I barely just got it into my basket then they sold out

I'm not liking seeing Insomniac blasted recently about what the game does and doesn't have so I'll grab a controller. I mainly use an Edge, that yellow one is a nice collectible.

@Mr-Cage Normally I'd agree but Wolverline was kind enough to create some extra air vents with those claws. Also I've never had any issues with covers overheating a console, even in desert temperatures.

Edit: Yellow sold-out fast. There are about fifty listings on eBay but the prices are as you'd expect.

@GirlVersusGame I agree with you on Insomniac. Can we at least wait until after the game comes out before we all start blasting them? At least then, we'll know what's actually in the game.

@Fiendish-Beaver unfortunately the Edge controller is a pretty niche premium device and I'd guess most people who use one aren't really considering getting another.
Probably not much sense making limited editions for that, business wise.

Not surprised the Pro ones have sold out - I think these are the first official Pro covers? (Which seems very silly to be honest)

Edit: it was pointed out to me in a reply that GoY did have Pro covers too.

Anyway, I bought the yellow controller.
I like how the "adamantium" one looks but it doesn't immediately scream Wolverine as much as the yellow and I need that for Marvel Tokon tournaments (guess who I play)

Dammit. The one day i take a break for a while not to doomscroll and I missed the yellow ones (sold out). Had to make do with an adamantiun instead.

Damn it. While cleaning my overpriced collectible crap on my day off I missed out on more overpriced collectible crap. 😭

Scalpers (most likely) are too fast in our country. Pre-order slots have been taken already a few minutes after local online retailers got it up.

And just like other limited editions, I'd most likely see these controllers being sold here online with 50%-100% markup. Lol

I managed to get the Adamantium controller

oh man, I totally forgot about this and my heart sank when I saw PS Direct was sold out already of the yellow one. Thankfully Amazon still has them.

@Slideaway1983 if you can be bothered, eBay your adamantium preorder and get a yellow. They're around the same price. I had to grab a yellow off eBay because the links I found to the release took me to a completely different page. Had yellow in basket too somehow but it sold out when payment went through 😥

@Andy22385 Just had a look and theres no way im paying 100 quid for one. I'll be happy with my adamantium version. I dont pay scalpers, unkess I'm missing something in your message.

Sadly the pro covers went within an hour where I live. Only one seller had exclusivity to them. Well I guess I have to make do with my awesome McFarlane Gold Label figure

@Mr-Cage my friends , my son, my daughters boyfriend and me all have launch PS5s and never heard of over heating

Man i new about the console and controller but didn't know they had PS5 Pro covers as well..... Sh$t I missed out on that

@HairyBizRat Check the internet mate the liquid metal cooling system messing up peoples consoles when it goes due to people using the console vertically.
I'm not just making it up dude it's happened to people I never said absolutely everyone will eventually be effected but it's definitely happened to a lot of people.

@Mr-Cage I been lucky then, day one OG PS5 and been used vertically from day one, no problems, cleaned it 2 times and it's like new.
Edit: But I havent put mine into a shelf restricting the airflow, so it's that... Mine stands on it's own cabinet well ventilated, no risk of overheating.

@Zeke68 If you look after your console like keeping it clean and well ventilated it will work perfectly for years.
Dust has always been the main killer of consoles!

@HairyBizRat Check YouTube my friend it has happened to people I have no reason to lie about it.
There's videos and you see the liquid metal cooling thing gone off the CPU or whatever it's on and they need to replace it.
In some cases the interior if the console started melting.
Maybe it's rarer than I made out I don't know but it's definitely an issue that has effected consoles no doubt probably people who use the console hours on end in a dirty environment if you ask me
