Fortnite is planning to add more gaming characters this year, as it continues to find ways to cross-promote the Epic Games Store.
You may have seen recently, for example, that Resident Evil Requiem’s Grace Ashcroft and Crimson Desert’s Kliff are both coming to the Battle Royale – and you’ll get the skins for free if you buy said games through the Epic Games Store.
But now it’s teased two more gaming characters are “trailblazing” their way to the title: Kafka and Blade from Honkai: Star Rail.

While it didn’t outfight confirm either character, the use of the word “trailblazing” – a very specific phrase in HoYoverse’s turn-based RPG – along with exact replicas of their respective swords basically confirms their inclusion.
It’s going to be interesting to see just how many gaming characters make their way into Fortnite on the back of this initiative. Obviously we know the game has added the likes of Lara Croft and even Kratos in the past, but it looks like the company is really stepping up its efforts in a bid to convert players from Steam to the Epic Games Store.
