Capcom looks to be shipping Resident Evil Requiem with two different graphical modes on a PS5 Pro, with one offering ray tracing and the other 120 frames-per-second.
From a new interview with director Akifumi Nakanishi on the Japanese PlayStation Blog, it is explained that whether you have ray tracing turned on or not will dictate what frame rate you get.
With ray tracing on, Resident Evil Requiem will utilise a 4K resolution at 60 frames-per-second. When the ray tracing is turned off, the game can run at up to 120FPS if you have a capable TV or monitor. Apparently, it'll output at an average of 90FPS.

"What personally impressed me about the PS5 Pro was its high frame rate. You might be wondering if you can really tell the difference, but when you go back to 60fps, it still feels a bit lacking," added Nakanishi. "The difference in the amount of information makes the world seem more persuasive."
It's also confirmed the PS5 DualSense controller will be supported via its haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and the 3D Audio features. The weight of the trigger pull is different for every weapon, and haptic feedback recreates the feeling of being bitten by a zombie. We've all been there.
"When solving puzzles by spinning a box containing jewels, the feeling of the jewels rattling inside is recreated through vibrations and sounds from the controller, making the game world feel even more realistic and immersive."
There's no word in the interview covering what — if any — graphical modes the base PS5 will have access to.
While it was not shared which graphical mode we played the game in, our Resident Evil Requiem Preview session was conducted on a PS5 Pro, and our three hours of playtime ran flawlessly. The hope is that smoothness translates to the entire game, and the visuals were just as impressive.
