In the tail end of last year, Sony introduced a new Power Saver mode for PS5 and PS5 Pro, the aim being to allow games to run on the consoles while consuming less energy.
The list of games that support this functionality is small, but new titles are slowly joining the party. God of War Ragnarok is the latest to confirm support.
On PS5, the epic action adventure has a new update to download and install (version 6.06), and it introduces Power Saver mode to the game.
Here's the official wording in the patch notes:
"Adds compatibility for Power Saver mode on PS5 and PS5 Pro."
Simple as that.
Once the game has the new update installed, you should see the Power Saver leaf icon next to its name when you highlight it on the PS5's menu.
There has been some hearsay about Power Saver mode potentially being preparation for a future handheld PlayStation device, though this is purely speculative.
