Dispatch PS5

PS5, PC story game Dispatch continues to go from strength to strength now all its episodes are out, with AdHoc Studio confirming the title has now surpassed two million units sold.

Across social media, the LA developer said: "We're also sad there are no new episodes this week, but thank you to the 2 million players that have joined us so far. Wouldn't be here without you." The team said it had sold one million copies on 3rd November, meaning it has doubled its sales just over two weeks later.

At least on Steam, even more than a week after the final episode's release, the game continues to attract a very healthy playerbase, with a 24-hour peak of over 26,000 players in the past day. This will include players experiencing the story for the first time and others returning to test other choices and outcomes.

AdHoc Studio is now thinking about creating a second season, as it hits sales targets the developer wasn't projecting to meet for another three years. "I think the degree to which it would be successful is something that I certainly didn't anticipate," executive producer Michael Choung told GamesIndustry.biz.

With all eight episodes available, we published our Dispatch PS5 review last week. "While it's very light on meaningful gameplay, it tells a brilliantly paced, consistently entertaining superhero story that touches on some refreshingly adult themes," we concluded with an 8/10 score.
