Update []:

It looks like Tomb Raider: Anniversary has hit a last-minute snag – or Sony wants to spread out its PS Plus Premium releases as much as humanly possible.

The game – which wasn’t mentioned in the platform holder’s PS Blog post but did have a 21st October release date listed on the PS Store – now shows an 18th November release date, which would make it part of next month’s PS Plus Premium lineup.

Of course, there’s always a possibility the date could change again, but we imagine it’ll make its revised launch next month.

Original Story: We know Tomb Raider: Anniversary will be added to PS Plus Premium at some point, as Sony already confirmed that during a recent State of Play.

But there’s confusion after uber-reliable rumour-monger billbil-kun touted it for next week’s update, scheduled for 21st October.

Ultimately, it wasn’t included in the official PS Blog announcement post, but fans have noticed that the PS2 classic has a PS Store release date of 21st October for PS5 and PS4.

One theory is that the original Tomb Raider game will celebrate its 29th anniversary next week, and so the announcement has been saved for Embracer to make. Possible, we suppose.

We’ll be keeping an eye on the PS Blog to see if the information is updated, or if the release date included on the title’s PS Store page mysteriously disappears. We’ll also make some enquiries and update if we find anything else out.
