Rumour: Microsoft to Confirm Forza Horizon 6, Japan Setting Next Month

Being a PlayStation player, FH5 was my first proper foray in to the Forza games and I've really enjoyed it, so more Horizon at all will be good to me.

I just hope they don't go too much into the drifting side of things, because I hate drifting. I suspect that's a forlorn hope with a Japan setting though.

Hook me up, 5 was absolutely storm, this will be even better, I liked the Mexico theme, but japan mountains and tracks and the touge mountain runs !!

@get2sammyb they will need it to be on PS5 day because it will be on subsidized gamepass day one for sure! And MS execs are so pleased with more coin from the paying PS fanbase.

The Rimac doesn't inspire excitement in real life let alone a game but all of the cars are more fun in the top photo than the pagan one haha. Japan will be a great setting! Might be the best horizon yet. Still sucks that this isn't Xbox only as the Forza IP is good.

Would much prefer the Forza Motorsport game but I understood the mass market appeal of this arcade spin off.
Sure it will bring joy to many gamers.

Hopefully its day 1 on PS5.

I’d be interested, I was underwhelmed by Horizon 5 but love Japan which might make up for the things I didn’t like.

Remember when sony made the games you couldn't wait for. Of course would buy this day 1 if it does come to ps5.

@Jackthelad93 The good thing about the Forza Horizon games, since 2 at least, is at any point you can pretty much always choose the sort of racing you want to do. If you don't like Drifting, you don't hlreally have to do those races.

It has sort of somewhat homogenised the games, as I kind of miss that FH1 sort of had a more linear sense of progression, with "boss races" and a final championship, but the later ones really allow you to avoid the bits you don't like

@lindos I think they're also worried that FM had more direct competition on PS already from GT. As opposed to the FH series which Sony don't compete with personally.

It would be interesting to see if now that they've brought the series to PlayStation with FH5 to great success, they go back and also port over Motorsport now it has more brand recognition on the platform?

I enjoyed FH4 (especially the setting) but I'm starting to find the festival component tired and forced at this point. It seeped into The Crew with The Crew 2, and I feel like it's ruined the whole arcade racing atmosphere since.
