Great news for fans of Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2: the game's getting another full year of free updates and DLC.
As confirmed by developer Saber Interactive, the action-shooter's been such a hit that support will carry through for a second term. A new yearly season pass is being introduced — which we assume will once again cover all kinds of cosmetic additions — and free updates will continue to add all sorts of stuff to the experience.
The official blog post reads: "This extended support to Space Marine 2 has been possible thanks to your unwavering support, so once again, thank you very much for being part of it! Expect new PvE missions, enemies, weapons, and… more. It’s too early to provide more info, but stay tuned!"
For now, two big patches are in the oven. Update 9.0 won't feature any fresh content, but it will adjust the title's balance. Then, Update 10.0 is planned for September. The latter will introduce a new PvP mode and the mighty Power Axe — a new weapon type complete with its own attacks and animations.
