Probably the most anticipated indie game of all time, all Nintendo could offer Hollow Knight: Silksong fans was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it spot in a sizzle reel as part of today's Switch 2 Direct. Comprising just six seconds of footage, it did at least claim the game will release in 2025.
The game appeared alongside other newly revealed Switch 2 versions, including Split Fiction, Hogwarts Legacy, Elden Ring, Star Wars Outlaws, and more. Of course, there's no exclusivity here, so Hollow Knight: Silksong will also come to PS5 and PS4 at some point later this year.

After this much hype,Team Cherry would have to be certifiably insane to make this a Switch 2 exclusive.
My college kid texted me about this this morning. They didn't watch the ND but they follow some Silksong subreddit discord thing that college kids do these days. I was surprised to see it in there myself, was thinking Nintendo wouldn't want the Switch 2 to be overshadowed.😂

Wasn't Silksong also announced as coming to Xbox in 2022... I'll believe it when I see it.

Never understood the hype for Silksong (then again, I'm not that into Hollow Knight) but hey, at least you got something in today's direct.
I still need to play the first Hollow Knight game, but I'm happy for the fans that have been waiting since 2019!
