Bandai Namco Summer Showcase

Bandai Namco has confirmed that it'll be hosting its own 'Summer Showcase' next month. Slated for the 5th July, the presentation will take place at Anime Expo, and promises to be "heavy with announcements, reveals, and first looks at anticipated anime games". Fits the bill!

The show is scheduled to last over an hour, starting at 17:30 PDT / 20:30 EDT. Unfortunately, this means that those of us in Europe are in for a late night, as it begins at 2:30 BST / 3:30 CEST the next morning. Far from ideal.

Still, there could be a lot to see here. We'll no doubt get another look at Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the upcoming Gundam Breaker 4, and the new Sword Art Online game, Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream. But we also wouldn't rule out brand new announcements given the venue, and given the sheer length of the showcase.

Indeed, there have been whispers that a new Tales game is close to being revealed. We suppose such an announcement is possible, but it's hard to shake the feeling that Bandai Namco would have shown it off during Summer Game Fest, which obviously commands a much larger audience. Fingers crossed, all the same.
