Escape rooms are popular the world over, and while there are one or two similar video game experiences, Escape Academy seems like the first one inspired by the real-world puzzles. This new game from iam8bit Presents (the company's brand new publishing label), Skybound Games, and Coin Crew Games is all about solving environmental conundrums to, well, escape each room, and it looks like it could be good fun.

Playable solo or in two-player co-op, you enrol in a mysterious school that's all about training your brain to overcome escape rooms. The USP in this case is that the levels featured throughout the game are designed by people who create real world escape rooms, giving this an air of authenticity.

As you explore the campus, you'll get to meet a host of NPCs including teachers and fellow students. It all looks like a fun time — we can see this being a jolly co-op excursion when it hits PlayStation 5 and PS4 in June.
