by Forspoken, the new PlayStation 5 console exclusive from Square Enix, is wonderfully bizarre. This brand new trailer shows star Ella Balinska pulled into an alternate dimension; from the rooftops of a New York-style city to a fantasy land with dragons and talking arm attachments. It’s very Western for a Japanese game, and looks like something totally different from the publisher.

Honestly, we’re really impressed with this one. The firm said it wanted to make the best-looking open world ever, and there’s no question this is right up there. Can you summon any enthusiasm for it? Show off your spark effects in the comments section below.

Looks pretty, and could be fun. But am I the only one who thinks that the swearing is repetitive?
Witty is being absolutely enormously generous but I digress, gameplay looks pretty great and the world is very pretty.
Didn't really like the dialogue much but her attacks still look very dragons dogma-y and that's only a good thing. And the warping around looks so fun too
Gameplay wise this kind of looks like Skyrim meets Prototype. In other words, it's the exact game I've wanted my whole life.
@HotGoomba people said Returnal looked repetitive, and that turned out pretty good IMO. It's on a short list of games that I'm looking forward to.
Traversal looks fun. Still not sure about the game outside of that. And please, please don't have these people gabbing incessantly throughout the game. The dialogue is terrible.
Was there a date for this?
@eagletrippin I don't mean the gameplay, I mean the excessive bad language (swearing) in the dialogue.
Gameplay looks okay but not a fan of the banter between the girl and the accessory she’s wearing. It feels out of place for a game like this.
People upset by a bit of swearing?
Get the ***** out of here!
😉
Game looks like it could be a lot of fun. Hopefully her cat follows her into the fantasy world, that would be ***** sweet.
Sorry.
Tbh this was my favourite game of the showing and believe me when I say that I jumped outta my chair seeing GOW2 tonight
Some of the lines seemed a little corny to me but I still have interest in this.
Awful. Nice graphics but everything else looked janky and my god the lead waffling on didn’t help. Disappointing.
This looks right up my alley….can’t wait! When?
Why make her sound like some generic comic character
@eagletrippin "Spring 2022"
Hi there fellow gamers.
Finally getting more gameplay from this.
I really like the combat being magic based and shooting spells.
It kinda remind of inFamous in a scene or two.
The traversal looks cool, but needs more work in my oppinion.
Let´s see if SquareEnix can deliver a good brand new IP.
Cheers, stay safe good folks and happy gaming to us all
I trust in Luminous. The dialog is a little off, but FFXV seemed that way at first too, but I grew to love the game and I’m really excited for this. It looks genuinely unique and fresh, and honestly we need more of that in gaming.
@Ralizah I just love the voice actrice somehow i cant wait to play this. 🤗
When im getting my PS5 i probably will be quite busy. 😁
@Flaming_Kaiser Cool. Actively trying to find a PS5 still, or just waiting for a hype game before jumping into next gen?
@Ralizah I want really want one but i dont have tons of cash and even if had tons off cash i refuse to pay a scalper. I have Returnal and Demon Souls because i thought i would have one already but alas. And i would love to play Rachet and Clank but and these games make me want one even worse.
They could really turn down the quipping. Having the lead character narrate what we’re seeing almost never helps IMO. The most immersive games are usually quieter games.
Hopefully it is Spring your way and not mine, because that would be in 12 months time
It is still on my wishlist
Getting this day one
@Flaming_Kaiser Really respect you having the self-control not to pay re-sellers/scalpers.
There are some twitter accounts I've seen that people tend to follow to get ahead of PS5 supply drops online, but those are mostly U.S.-centric. I get the sense those wouldn't be particularly helpful for someone in the Netherlands.
Does Playstation Direct ship to where you live? That might be your best bet for a while.
Hang tight! They'll come back into stock eventually. Unfortunately the chip shortage + scalper bots + massive levels of demand are making it where new electronic devices virtually evaporate the moment listings go up on the internet.
'a New York-style city' - it is NYC as you can see the Holland Tunnel through the portal. Game looks promising thus far!
Seems very early in development to me. Not judging yet.
looks alright
@Ralizah Thanks for the tip ill try that who knows maybe im lucky. 😁👍
really wanted to like this but man, that dialogue. what awful writing. i am so, SO uninterested in this.
The design of human npc are bad, it's like all the npc are western people that live in the fantasy world. It's the exact opposite of ff15, where's the protagonist/npc looks like final fantasy characters but the world are kind of real life and mundane.
Trapped In Another World With My Bracelet
I hope the cat is ok
I see cat I pre-order XD. Jokes aside, glad they finally showed us more gameplay and story.
I'll need to wait for reviews before buying though.
