Cuphead the Delicious Last Course PS5 PlayStation 5 1

Studio MDHR has delayed Cuphead’s Delicious Last Course DLC until 2021, which is probably for the best considering the size and scale of our backlog. The add-on content – slated to release on the PlayStation 4 at the same time as all other platforms – was first announced all the way back in 2018, so it’s taking a little time to cook.

Still, the team explained that it won’t settle “for this final chapter to be anything less than our best work” and that “meeting this standard has been extremely challenging for us amid the global pandemic that has affected so many our fellow developers”. It added: “Rather than compromise on our vision in response to COVID, we’ve made the difficult decision to push back the release.”

That’s fair, we reckon. “We know many of you have been waiting to return to the Inkwell Isles,” it concluded, “and our goal is to make the trip back there next year a truly magical one.” In the meantime, you can always try and get the Platinum in the core game. Oh, don’t be silly – only PS5 architect Mark Cerny is that mad!
